Good food, ho hum service – In town for business, doing the usual local restaurant circuit.

Went to Blue; ordered a drink from their special drinks menu along with an appetizer we specified we would share, two entrees, a side dish/salad for me and later a shared dessert.

The service was terrible. Not only was it a fairly long wait between drinks, courses, etc. (it was a very quiet night...not very busy and it was snowing lightly). We were asked if we'd like water - still or fizzy - and they filled our glasses with what must have been "our" bottle, but did not leave the bottle. They did refill the glasses at one point but since the bottle was not left at the table or opened there, it made us wonder whether it was simply filled from the tap! Waiter came out and apologized (many minutes after ordering) that they couldn't make my drink because the bartender was ill and they had no idea where the ingredients were located. I hadn't thought much about it but the same exact incident was listed by a previous reviewer so I have to wonder whether it's a common thing. Appetizer and my salad arrived simultaneously with no recognition of whether it was shared or not, just plunked down in front of us. Not a biggie but not polished service. The lamb (which we both ordered) was nicely done and tasty. Overall, the food was very good - it was only the service that was substandard. Perhaps the weather was a contributing factor.

I have eaten at Blue several times.. The Food is great.. The last two times that I have eaten there they have messed up my credit card. And both times they have not offer to compensate me on any level.. I spoke the the Owner and he was rude and not understanding. I dont expect to be handed free meals but when you do this for the second time something needs to be done.. In my eyes this is unacceptable. I would not go back on the Principal that they will mess up your credit card. He was kinda rude.. seemed like because it was not his money he didnt care. and did nt need me as a customer..

just another over priced rip off – I have been to blue a few times and liked it until my last experience. The waiter was terrible, it took 10 minutes for them to tell me they didn't have something to make a mojito, then another 5 to get me another drink which was horrible. the food was nothing special for the price and when i told the manager that i was leaving to go to a bar and get chicken wings and beer because the own experience left me unsatisfied, he seemed to careless.. i don't recomend going to blue unless you feel like wasting at least $100 on food and service thats worse then going to mcdonalds.

Tempted by word of mouth, what a sinful treat! – My friend told me to try out this hidden restaurant on the corner church and barker. From the street, the first thing you notice is the huge windows that open up into the restaurant. Once you walk in there is a friendly face and a view of the open kitchen. On the left is the colorful lounge and bar area. Full of rich blues and contrasting yellows. To your right is the elegant, sophisticated main dinning area blessed with seductive arched banquets. My date and I were seated only after a short 15 minute wait at the bar. Which is not bad considering we had no reservations on a Saturday night. Once seated, the night seemed to go by flawlessly. Our first course was a delicious fresh caesar salad, which was exciting to see made at our table. Closely followed were two separate dishes consisting of a light tuna tartar, and a unique roasted quail special. Both plates left us yearning for more. As an entree, I ordered the Wasabi Pea Encrusted Salmon. It was mouth watering, and definitely going on the favorite list. My classy date had the Chilean Sea bass, which he gave high scores to as well. Saving a little room for sweets, we ordered a peanut butter pie which was a light and fluffy custer-type dessert made in house. Such a nice little compliment to a parade of wonderful tastes and textures. If you are ever in White Plains or New York in general, do take the time to try out this place. I am sure you will walk away the same wonderful experience.
