I think the concept and model is flawed. Visual is a huge part of the chemistry process and so having someone match you up based alone on interests and values I haven't seen work. I was matched with some very nice men, but not my type. I was clear on what type of guys I am really attracted to but I kept getting matched with people outside that description. Which lead me to think that either they were just lining up dates in order to meet their contractual obligation, or they just weren't listening (or both). I went directly to them with my concerns and thoughts before posting a review here, and they were open to the feedback, but ultimately I wouldn't recommend them.

I cant speak for Other cities but the It's just lunch NOT located in Norfolk va but wants business from us, is worthless and has very bad customer service and losey dates. trust me. I join january 2012 and went on 7 dates so far and each ended with nothing more than a bill for the dinner. I should had rearch them 1st before turning over lots of money for nothing but grief in return. I was trying to be positive for 2012 *january and thought I could find someone, even thou NO dating service can guarntee a 2nd date but they arent sending legit dates out, and there profile Iam told over the phone(never in email) is not what the person is when I meet them. also Its just lunch will never give you There last names. I mean its just lunch not my date. wtf? How can a Legit business who has lots of my hard earn money not give there last name? even management? and when I call about someone that wasnt legit on my date, the women on the phone Laugh. so I warn ANYONE to look into your dating company or find one much cheaper and go from there. I also heard from internet it is very hard to get a refund at the end of my membership.

Piece of advice here. Do not give these people your email or phone number ever. I expressed interest once, over two years ago, and still get phone calls from them despite repeatedly telling them I do not want to use their service. They have no resorted to calling and leaving cryptic messages fishing for a call back ("This is C..., please call me back! I want to get with you before the weekend.") with zero information that it is ANOTHER pushy marketing call. Seriously worse than the one time I got put on a Mormon church call list "as a joke" and had to fend them off for a year. These people are seriously annoying.

This was the WORST experience I have had. All of the negative reviews were right on!! There is extreme high pressure to join, lots of promises for great dates and service. NOT the case. You are lucky to get a return phone call, which in my case took weeks. For the "busy professional" they are too busy to call you back. It is such a crap shoot. You get a call with a date and they do not provide you feedback. I think for the amount of money the service was the worst I have experienced ever!! The only time I had a timely call on my account was when I canceled the credit card charge, they she was on the spot asking waht the problem was??? Really??? They did not answer their phone for a week, due to "phone problems'??? For a what is advertised as a professional organization, they did not notify anyone they were having problems. They are the problems. This is a "two-bit" joint, and not a professional service. The dates were alive and nice, but nothing more. They never tried to fit anyone for me. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID These people are extremely well trained on the high pressure sales pitch. They will hound you and hound you and promise you and promise you... right up until they get your money.

Like the previous reviewer - they promised me the exact same thing... "We have tons of people available and can set you up with as many dates as you have time for" but as soon as they got my money - they vanaished like houdini.

Correction - they initially put me on two dates - where the men were completely a major down grade for what I am used to. When I gave them specific examples of how these men were exactly what I told them I was NOT looking for - suddenly they had nothing left for me.

Then of course - the PRE signing of the contract is all about how busy they can keep you - and the POST signing of the contract - they only quote the ONE A MONTH in the fine print. $1200 for three months and really aweful dates. Seriously? WOW!

Oh - and a professional matchmaking service? They have never even met me. They don't even know me. They have made zero efforts to schedule and appointment. They don't really care what kind of persona I am. What does that have to do with Match-Making? They already have my money. Matching me is not the goal. Getting paid is.

Stupidist thing I ever fell victim to

Save your money! Although they will tell you they have an equal number of men and women (but no specific facts), it clearly can't be true. I was "matched" on a schedule of every 3 weeks meaning I was set up on a date every 3-5 weeks. Several of the men I was matched with stated they were going on 3-4 per week and were bored with the whole process. I had a few medical problems and asked to have the membership put on hold and they were happy to do it for $40/month. $40/month to be put into a file and forgotten! Needless to say, I cancelled the service. I too, had joined several years ago and did not have a great experience. I was hoping they had improved. Please save your money!!

Do not waste time or money. This was my second time trying It’s just lunch to just be disappointed yet again. After I was promised dates and a better experience I was scammed one more time. After a few dates I can clearly see they did not listen to anything I had to say after giving my credit card number. I was hoping that thing would be better this time, but it only got worst. As a business man this is one of the greatest signs of FRAD I have seen in a long time. Telling people they will help them with love, and finding someone special was something I was am truly looking for, for someone to spit in my face truly show what kind of business they are running, I will not ever recommend this this dating sit to anyone

I feel like I am not alone here. IJL program sells itself to those that have the money to do it. Let me tell you about the reasons I signed up, and what they will sell you on, and then the results. It is convenient, they have a "ton of beautiful women", you can go on an "unlimited" amount of dates, they bring you in for a face to face interview to get to know you better, these are professional women that their job is to be a good matchmaker, they pre-screen and personally know these women vs a website you don't know what you're getting. Are you sold yet? I was. Convenient- overall not bad, the minimal dates I have been on were easy to set up and all I had to do was show up. Though the majority of my dates meet in the middle from boulder or north Denver when I live in DTC. If IJL ever actually set me up with someone remotely compatible they must think it is "convenient" for us to be over an hour apart. Tons of beautiful women- Sad I have to be vain here, but their must not be many in the young professionals group! I say I like blonde and brunette and 100% of my dates have been red heads. I am very fit, enjoy staying in shape. They have met me, seen my picture, yet set me up with girls that are no where near "fit". Setting me up with blatantly obvious bad physical matches makes a hour+ date very hard. I want to just say "sorry, but we both know this isn't a fit", but these girls ARE nice. It's like IJL specializes in teaching you how to reject and be rejected on purpose. Unlimited dates- I run my own company and have tons of time. Before I signed up Christine said you can go on an unlimited amount of dates. That basically puts the ball in my court. That means as many as I can handle or "unlimited". After I gave them the money, that means 6 dates total, and who knows how many more, but you are only guaranteed 6. So when I ask for more dates they tell me 2 a week is not possible. How is that unlimited? They interview face to face- if this was an interview, it was hands down the most pathetic interview of my life. They asked me about the first date, which was a total bomb, and then said thst had no other questions for me! Nothing further about my life, preferences, NOTHING. They sell the interview like it is this geat opportunity to really get to know you better, yet it lasted no more than 10 minutes. They are professional matchmakers-LOL!!! Needless to say, one of the few things I did say in that pathetic interview was please no redheads. Very next date? You guessed it, redhead. And overweight. But like I said before, super nice, so there is no way I could be so mean as to get up and walk out. Thus, a nice waste of 3 hours (date+drive time+getting ready for it) of my busy professional life. PLEASE don't sign up for this program as it has been a thorn in my side, false promises, misleading, and all around disappointing since the moment I gave them my credit card. I haven't even asked for my money back yet, but judging by the other reviews, I can kiss that goodbye.

Please do not waste your money here. They are just a bunch of lazy people who sweet talk before they take your credit card and never deliver what they promised after. Im just surprised this place is still in business. The dates they matched me with had nothing in common except for one thing, which is frustration and dissatisfaction with IJL.

Unhappy Women!

Avoid ILJ at all costs ($1600 / 6 mos.) Men say they meet unhappy women -- lots of them. The service is way over-subscribed with women. The men are sent on 2 dates a week - even 2 a day - but not to meet women they want to meet. The women may start out happy, but it changes fast when they get only one date a month. Rip off! Beware!
