Best place for good beer, food and German feel – The stuff they have on tap is amazing, get yourself a stein and have fun with your buddies. Get some landjagger and pretzels, maybe even pass around DAS BOOT, the big glass boot with 3 liters of good german beer... the rule is you can't put the boot down until it's finished.

Don't come here if you want to drink crappy beer and act like a high school girl.

Don't hand them your Credit Card – Friday night after trying to cash out we were told we never gave them out credit card. Odd we did. Odd they didn't have it. Odd they were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo rude. I was told this happens all the time.

Well my friends if you want to give your credit card to a stranger and be treated like a fool (when you are a sober dd) feel free to give die bierstube your business. They will never be receiving mine again. Mistakes happen but at least admit them and be respectful.

Roll of the dice err..... bartender. – Great place unless you get the guy with the soul patch and the girl with tattoos serving, we were there for 2 beers and then we went to get a few more drinks at 1 and they said "Were tired of being here so were not serving any more." Which is fine but at least have the courtesy to call last call. All the great beer in the world won't make up for poor service. I'll be back but it won't be a Tuesday night.

Mmmmm Deutsche Bier – I come here when I miss Germany and want a good beer. The place is a little crowded (it is kinda small) but everyone is friendly. They also have warm pretzels with a variety of traditional mustards.

Great Beer, but horrible service – I will admit this place does have great beer and nice nieghborhood feel to it, BUT..

On my second trip to Di Bier Stube, a group of about 8 of us tried to order the boot to share. They denied us claiming that two of the men in our group appeared to be "getting tipsy." Why serve beer in 1L portions if you don't expect people to get little buzz? We were in no way out of control. The funny thing is they allowed us to order two 1 liter glasses(same size as a boot). Pretty stupid if you ask me. I'm a young proffesional, not some college student looking to get drunk. Only go here if you are over 55 because, if you are any younger they treat you like a second class citizen.

Avoid while school is in session – It breaks my heart to say this but when school's in session this turns from a cozy, fairly authentic Bavarian style bar with an OUTSTANDING tap selection to a crowded, sometimes annoying refuge offering endless rounds of the boot drinking game (but still with an incredible set of taps). I'd love to go here more, but I don't for that reason.

Raise a large, foamy stein of German beer and enjoy an inexpensive dinner of wursts and sausages. – In Short
A huge backlit photo on one wall depicts a blond Bavarian girl holding four liters of beer, setting the Oktoberfest scene at this Roosevelt beer dispensary. The crowd is mostly collegiate intellectuals, who fill the dark wooden tables and benches or crowd around the dartboards in the back. Along with 15 German beers on tap available in three sizes, the menu offers bar snacks like bratwurst, shoestring fries and German potato salad.

Needs some improvement – Like it's sibling Prost, this place stinks like cleaning products. When I emailed the owner he said I was smelling saurkraut...perhaps. But do you really want bleachy saurkraut?

Unless they take steps to ameliorate this olfactory roadblock the beer isn't enough to keep me going back.

Wow awesome place for German beer – This place kicks-butt with its beer list. There is like 15 german drafts all served with the correct glassware. Finally! Tired of drinking beer out of a stupid pint glass, give it a try. The food is great, but a little expensive. Some of the beers inlcude Spaten, Baron, Bitburger, Paulaner, Lowenbrau and others. Good stuff. It can get really smokey at night, so that's why I go in the early evening. The staff is great and are willing to help with questions and everything.

2 good 2 B true; but SMOKY – As of 09NOV04, the STUBE has impressed many with its all German theme, food, beers, ambience and very friendly service: I have watched the customer base blossom in the past month. The FOURTEEN draft German beers are a Munich Oktoberfest revival under a single Seattle roof. If you even like beer and haven't done Munich, then here is where to practice!! One can sample a series of the same style, e.g. pilsner, from multiple breweries or sample a family of styles from a single brewery ---- all in special glasses from each separate brewery, a tradition seen in Europe and Asia but too difficult for us Yanks to figure out. Before the booming success fills too capacity, a strong ventilation system must be added/improved to keep the non-smokers prost-ing there.
