Pleasantly surprised – My first french experience and pleasantly surprised. The service is impeccable and the portions were perfect however the temperature of the dishes were a little on the cold side. I give them the benefit of the doubt since they probably had everything prepped ahead of time since it was a set course meal all night. The presentation was beautiful too. Its definitely a nice experience and would like to go back and dine from the regular menu.
Low-key, hip, romantic and intimate. – I met up with some friends here earlier this year on a weekend evening. Fleur de Lys has hip decor, comfortable and funky seating, attractive and friendly staff, inventive cocktails and a great DJ. The DJ is for mellow background music, NOT dancing -- this place is way too small for dancing. We didn't try any of their food, but if you're looking for an interesting little watering hole, check this place out!
Best Part of Our Trip – I am so glad we decided to dine here. The presentation of the food is lovely, but the taste is exquisite. The attention you receive from the wait staff went above and beyond.
We chose a bottle of Pinot Noir to go with our 3 course meal, which was the perfect amount of food, and the wine expert at the restaurant gave us a description of what we were about to enjoy.
I started with the smoked salmon and guacamole. What a unique combination! The food melted on my tongue and I almost moaned aloud.
The second course I chose was the filet mignon which was so tender and glazed in a savory sweet sauce that was unique and more delicious than I could possibly describe.
I finished my meal with the chocolate souffle which they served in a classic style pouring chocolate sauce right in the center. How divine!
The four of us spent nearly $500 on one meal but it was well worth it. This was one of the best meals of my life and I savored every bite. I will be back for more.
Prix-fixe French cuisine is presented like artwork in a romantic enclave inside Mandalay Bay. – In Short
This elegant restaurant features pink lighting warming exposed-stone walls, taupe theater-style curtains creating pockets of intimacy and small tables decorated with hand-painted china. Menus are available with three, four or five courses. High-end starters include items such as Osetra caviar. For the entrees, there's a choice of seafood (Hawaiian swordfish, Maine lobster) and meat (filet mignon, roasted squab, braised beef ribs) cooked in rich reduction sauces, with flavors like ginger-lime, basil-mint and carrot-cardamom.
User review by toroishan – The decor and chinas used was very artistic and even though it is a fine dining restaurant it feels very relaxing to dine in there. Great rib-eye steak but other dishes were just okay. the desserts are very creative, artistic, interesting and delicious to eat. oh btw, there are always extra charges for steaks, caviar or souffle. Overall this meal worth the money. One thing worth noting is that even though we arrived 10 minutes late, we were sitted right away.
Excellent Experience! – We sat in the wine cellar on the second floor. This is a great way for a group of 4 to dine intimately. The 5-course tasting menu is a great way to experience the variety of the menu, although it is VERY filling. Food was not the best I've had - I'd give it an 8/10. Service however was great - we had a total of 5 people serving us, yet we did not feel like we were swarmed. Since the food is so unique, I appreciate that the server explains what everything is.
Excellent food and presentation!!! – My boyfriend and I decided to have dinner at Fleur de Lys after attending a late show at Mandalay. We went in about an hour before closing and the service warmly greeted us in. The wine selection was very extensive. We decided to do the 3-course meal which was the perfect amount of food and the price was good. Each course presentation was beautiful and had quite the variety on each dish. We loved the food and the service was very prompt. I would definitely recommend Fleur de Lys to anyone who enjoys differentn foods and loves wine!!
High up on Top 10 best meals of my life! – Excellent service and food. Everything was so beautiful and the waiters were very attentive without being annoying. We went for my boyfriend's Birthday and the chef and staff hooked us up royally! Try it you won't be disappointed.
Wow! – I have been to a lot of Vegas' top notch restaurants and Fleur de lys is one of my few favorites now. Food is excellent. Presentation is like art. Interior design was wow. They had these roses on the wall thousands of them..incredible. They run by courses, like 3,4 or 5...and their prices are pretty decent. 3 course meal was I think $60 so that was pretty good. I'd advise you try the Froi Gras Tourchon and Untraditional Steak Tartar for app, Swordfish and Braised Beef Ribs for main, and for dessert they got some really interesting items...I went for the chocolate symphoy and my friend went for the souffle - which was excellent. Overall one of the best in Vegas!
Service Not Great – For the prices as they are here, the service should be top-notch and it is not there yet. Our server was not that busy - she just did not make enough appearances at the table. We ran out of drinks and waited 10 minutes before she checked back, then it took another 10 minutes to get more! The food was good, but still overpriced in our opinion. As mentioned before, tables are tight, taking away from the entire ambiance. Needs work but has lots of potential.
