It's no surprise that Two has become one of my favorite restaurants in the city! With its eclectic modern decor, changing menu & fantastic service, it's a "can't miss" in the A! Order the smoked salmon chips, tuna tartare, empanadas & any of the desserts!
Mediocre food, total jerk of a waiter – Went here years ago and had a great meal after waiting an hour past our reservation time. They comped the heck out of our bill, so all was well.
In the years since, I've gone vegan, so obviously this place never sprung to mind as a great place to dine. But I went back this weekend for a friend's bachelorette dinner. I asked the waiter to help me figure out what I could eat, since nothing on the menu seemed to be animal-product free except for a salad, hold the cheese.
The waiter's response: Eat some meat and give up this stupid vegan thing. Seriously, you just need to order a steak and get over it.
Really? That's your response? I mean, you can THINK I'm an idiot who needs some bacon -- but can you keep your mouth shut and HELP ME? I've waited tables -- and I know -- you don't have to like me, but you do have to SERVE me!!
Fortunately, I was in a good mood, so I just laughed it off, but it was annoying that he made a snide, snarky, insulting comment EVERY TIME I interacted with him!!
He finally brought me a "vegetable platter" and proceeded to misidentify two of the four items on the plate! Two of the things were good (the roasted squash? hello, he should have just given me a pile of that!) -- but two were bland and icky. I know the place specializes in meat and such, but geez -- even my HUSBAND can whip up a tasty plate of sauteed veggies!
So I'm sure TUL won't be sad to hear that they've lost a vegan customer... but even if I started eating meat again, I would definitely not go back! With all the restaurants in Atlanta, there are MUCH better ways to spend your money, no matter what you want on your plate!
Nice date spot. – I've been here a few times. I love the atmosphere. It's always really busy but my wait time has never been that long. It's a fun place. Nice variety on the menu. My friend orders the tuna tartare every single time we go :) The valet guys are nice as well. I appreciate a good staff. Oh, and they stay open late for you knight owls. Try it !!
Tolerated it for friends birthday – Went to a birthday party there for my friend who loves the place. We were seated rather quickly as she had reservations. The place was balmy hot so they had plug-in fans running to move the warm air around. This added to the loud noise of the place. The fan near where I was sitting had a click to it so it sounded somewhat like an air compressor running beside our table through the course of the evening. Then add to that everyone talking extremely loud trying to be heard. I was seated on long rickety bench that is attached to the wall. It was rather uncomfortable. The server was pretty good for the most part and his prevailing attitude when a question or comment was made was "You are fortunate to be here in our super-trendy restaurant, so sorry if you don't like it but we wont change anything". I am working the Dave Ramsey plan so in an effort to keep cost down I ordered only the Ravioli $10.00. The four flat raviolis were pretty bland with sweet cherry tomatoes and crunchy English peas over them -- not sure how those conflicting flavors got shuffled together but that is a taste preference so I will give them a pass on that. I did not like it -- I was hungry and couldn't make myself finish the tiny dish. (I had to eat when I got home.) The food was brought to the table very rapidly and that was a positive. I received my bill: the Raviolis were $10.80 with tax and the gratuity was $8.82 -- 82% of the bill - wow. The server said they divide the gratuity equally across all of the people in the party -- so how nice, I get to subsidize the gratuity for the others at the table... bite my tongue... I was thinking I have to keep quiet and write this off as a lesson. One other major positive about the place was the valet service. Everything inside the restaurant was lackluster for the most part.
HOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!! – Valet was great. The menu is not big and everything has a "kick" to it. Im not a big fan of spicy food. The big ASS burger was good but I wish they had more on the menu. Overall the atmosphere was excellent and the live music was great.
Great Place! – The place was cool .. my girlfriend an I are planning to come back . I love the food as well...
Trendy atmosphere – A suitable place to have a date, with it's cool and trendy interiors.Food is great as well! me and my partner will definitley go back.
cool atmosphere – The place was very cozy and relaxing. A great place to end a long week of work. It will definitely help you take away your stress because of the atmosphere. The food they served was awesome. We enjoyed every bite of it.
Good atmosphere, average food – A industrial restaurant feel with high ceilings and exposed pipes. Cool art, and wood fire kitchen smell. Very cool vibe when you walk in. We ordered the salmon chips as an appetizer and it was fresh and tasty. For entrees we ordered the ribs and the jerk chicken. The ribs are a wood smokey taste and a little on the dry side as most wood smoked meats are. The jerk chicken was humongous and was a little dull, but you could tell they tried. If I could do it all again I would have just ordered apps and small plates. The main plates were underwhelming.
inconsistent service – I have been here twice and noticed a big difference in the service and the food. The first time the food was wonderful and the service was fast. This is why we went back. The second time, the service was really slow and my filet was salty. I don't know if I want to go back and try it out for a third time.
