Great gelato – I'm not sure about the guy who called everyone jerks or said that the reviews were made up, but I have lived in Austin for 20 years and recently moved to the north side of town. I have enjoyed Gelatos. The people have been nice, the food more than good, and the atmosphere relaxing. I would give it a chance before believing someone who seems so bent on destruction.

Ice cream lovers city-wide flock to this local chain for cream dessert with European panache. – In Short
The North Austin location of this gelato, coffee and panini store sits on the corner of Burnet Road and Highway 93. Families and friends stand under a ceiling painted with sky and clouds and peruse the long silver cases. Nondescript white walls make the gelato more colorful. Free samples of the creamy dessert, from amaretto to dark chocolate, are available. Imported and natural ingredients make the Italian delicacy a more authentic experience.

Blissful... like the shores of Lago Maggiore! – I have spent a lot of time in Italy, specifically Maccagno, where my friend has a villa. We spend mornings eating prosciutto and melon and afternoons walking down the hill to get sweets.

Gelato's is the best re-creation of northern Italian culinary delights in Austin.

The panini is awesome, the gelato is the best in the city followed closely by La Dolce Vita on Duval. The seasonal Pumpkin Pie gelato is my current favorite at this north austin gem. It is in an odd location, but entirely worth the strip mall setting. Inside it is cozy, hip and delicious!!!!

(PS i have no idea who the owner even is.)

All These Reviews are FAKE – I know for a fact that a friend of the owner (Brad) of Gelato's registered several times and wrote every single one of these reviews.

Gelato's is very ordinary and nothing special. The place is usually empty, which is never a good sign, and the food is very plain. I wouldn't recommend it, but I'm not a friend of the owner.

Great Gelato! – This is a great place to taste what Gelato is supposed to be like. Go ahead and ask them for a sample of all flavors, they'll let you taste as many as you want! They have a wide range of flavors, from the most popular, vanilla, chocolate, cookie's and cream, to some other great innovative flavors, like merengue, papaya, chocolate hazelnut, coffee. Every time I go there they have couple of new flavors.

Just go by and you'll be hooked!

User review by austinnative – The tuscan turkey sandwich is wonderful! My husband and I both love the olive relish and the panini. The gelatos are wonderful -- my kids love the cream chocolate chip, I love the chocolate hazelnut and the sugar free chocolate. We have gone as a family, but it would be a fun date place as well.

Best Gelato & Coffee in Town! – I never understood what gelato was until stopped in Gelato's for coffee one day. It is the best! It is creamier than regular ice cream and the guys at Gelato's were so cool! They let me sample just about every flavor they had. I recommend anyone who likes ice cream to go to Gelato's and try it. It goes great with their lattes!

Really good gelato! – My husband and I had our honeymoon in Italy and we ate gelato 3 times a day, sometimes more. Ever since, we've been trying to find some good gelato here in Austin. There are a few ok gelato places around town, but not quite the way I remember it from Italy.

Gelato's has hit the nail on the head. Their gelato looks and tastes exactly the way I remember it. They even have the little blue spoons to eat it with.

My only small complaint is that they put all the names of the gelato in English instead of Italian. It still tastes great, though.
