Throughout the year, my daughter and I have sustained weekly appointments with an occupational therapist at My Left Foot’s Children’s Therapy. My daughter exhibits serious sensory disturbances which greatly impairs with her ability to function effectively at home, school, and during recreational activities. I’m grateful to the staff at this clinic who understand the importance of high-quality, nurturing care.
Earlier this year, my 8-year-old niece was involved in a serious car accident and endured a severe traumatic brain injury. Her impaired condition impedes with her ability to perform simple cognitive tasks such as following instructions, problem solving, and organization. However, since her admittance to My Left Foot Children’s Therapy, her fine motor skills have improved substantially. My sister and I appreciate the paramount treatment she has consistently received and are forever grateful for the staff’s loving, tender care.
Last month, my son dislocated his knee engaging in recreational soccer with his friends after school and, consequently, I was referred to My Left Foot Children’s Therapy by my primary physician. This facility encompasses warmhearted staff, a kid-friendly atmosphere, and personalized treatment programs for kids of various ages. We are highly satisfied with the employees’ expertise which has encouraged a smooth and progressive recovery. I recommend this clinic to individuals seeking superb therapy for their children.
My friend and I really enjoyed attending the seminar and continuing education course they had last year. The instructors were well-prepared and had such happy outlooks. They have so many therapists who came from very different backgrounds. They shared how they came to choose their specialty and about how heart-wrenching it is to know that there are children in places like third world countries and rural parts of our country who don't have access to pediatric therapy because either they can't afford it or live too far away. We were so inspired about the Therapy For Every Child Fund they set up, so people can donate towards getting more of these children the help they need. Our practice decided to make an annual donation to help out.
After my brother waited over a month and still hadn't gotten a call back to schedule my niece's first appointment, I checked online and saw some complaints about being charged fees for missed appointments that couldn't be helped. I was sorry to have to also tell him probably they would be in for a longer wait, because some clients cited how they had waited as long as four months! Really? Without even a courtesy call to say they hadn't been forgotten or that there simply aren't any appointments available yet? C'mon, you guys can do better than that.
Since they opened the Henderson clinic closer to us, it has saved us a lot of time and frustration we used to spend in traffic. The commute was so time consuming that we could only take our son for one session a week. We can manage two now, and it's making such a big difference in his progress. When he goes to his aquatic therapy class, he gets to participate in sports like some of his classmates. Without a clinic closer to home, we would not be able to manage the extra care for him.
My son has been seeing Gracie for almost a year now. She is absolutely wonderful at what she does! Not only is she very knowledgeable, Gracie presents learning in a fun, exciting way. My son has always looked forward to their visits and lights up when he sees her. I am so glad we made this investment in giving our child the boost he needed!
Amazing! My son has been working with Catrina for over a year, privately and as part of a social group, and we're very pleased with how quickly she "got him" and was able to pull him out. She's very knowledgeable and instinctively knows when to push & when to back off to keep the progress moving forward. She's helped us not just privately, but has gone into school to observe and provided detailed reports & treatment plans to pass along so our whole team is on the same page. My son loves going to see her, she always keeps it fresh, fun and challenging.
Sharon has been working with my son for several years and has helped him achieve phenomenal improvements in his speech.
There are several factors that I attribute to this success:
1. Like other reviewers, I agree that Sharon "gets" who my son is, and instinctively know how best to interact with him
2. Great personality and an endless amount of patience
3. Her creativity in turning repetitive exercises into something new and exciting to keep my son engaged. In a brilliant move one year ago, Sharon suggested using a primer in a foreign language to practice tricky consonant sounds in a fun, new way - my son loved it!
4. Her practical recommendations for exercises at home to reinforce lessons in her office
I highly recommend engaging Sharon for your child's speech therapy needs
They have a great facility. I see Rebecca and she is very knowledgeable and professional. She was very comprehensive in treating my shoulder and had me start with some exercises that I feel is helping.
