One hour of F-U-N fun! – That's how Melinda Sarkis starts off her Core Fusion Sport class on Friday afternoons. And it really is. Core Fusion, one of the classes offered at Exhale Spa, is a revolutionary style of exercise that really blew me away. Now, I'm a staunch opposer of work out trends such as yoga, pilates, and zumba. I'm a runner, soccer player, and team sport athlete. However, when my friend really got taken in by Exhale Spa, I decided to give it a try. And boy, am I glad I did.
Exhale Spa is a spa where the owners treat your mind and body. Everything is relaxing, minimalist, off white and light green. Right off the bat walking in, I felt at peace. Right behind the counter is a mani/pedi station. And there are rooms for massage and other spa treatments. There's a corridor in the back and a big sliding wooden door that looks like it came from an old eastern temple, that leads to the Core Fusion room.
This place offers yoga and several different types of Core Fusion, that have difference focuses each. In one hour, we work out each area of the body without any wasted energy. What I like best about it is that we combine work with stretch to develop lean muscle rather than bulk. The instructors encourage you to push yourself without going too far.
And let me tell you how effective these classes are. Within just several weeks, and no real diet change, I lost a pant's size. I feel more muscular and more energetic. I really look forward to each class. The experience is very whole body centered and I feel great after I leave. Everyone should check out at least one class at Exhale spa and see for themselves.
Thanks to Catherine Tucker who helped me out when she wasn’t teaching. I recently took a Thighs & Glutes class and began feeling light headed. She took me to the waiting are and stayed with me until I felt better
Terry’s classes are the best. I hope he teaches more classes. Every student in his class will agree
Terry O’Connell is a terrific teacher and should be on the schedule often
I visited exhale for the first time yesterday for a waxing with :Leila - she is fantastic and the entire spa is beautiful - I look forward to returning soon!
This was my first visit to exhale and it was absolutely delightful! The staff was wonderful to work with and the services I had (manicure and massage) were top notch. I especially enjoyed my massage with Sharon, I mean it when I say it was the best massage I ever had! She listened to what I was hoping to get out of the appointment and she focused on all of the trouble areas I wanted/needed. She did wonders for my back. Thank you, exhale spa, I'll definitely be back.
I am taking on the personal challenge of experiencing and experimenting with your Core Fusion classes. Yesterday, was my first class-Basics, with teacher Denise. Denise was clear in her instruction, patient/compassionate in nature, and held vibrant/enthusiastic energy for the full hour of class. The humility I experienced was assuaged by Denise's positivity, encouragement, and warm smile. Thank you for a positive 1st experience!
I enjoyed my experience at Exhale, particularly the excellent facilities and customer service. The staff were extremely courteous, helpful, and welcoming. The locker room was great (love the fact that the locker has its own lock!), and the atmosphere was good. The class was good too and tough.
My son and I attended the absolute basic yoga class and enjoyed it very much. The instructor was helpful, professional, and gave us a lot of attention. We both intend to return.
The class was incredible!!! It was hip hop weekend, so it was a little packed at the pool. Your staff was extremely polite and easy going-I will recommend it to my friends and will return for another class! Thanks!
