A total scam. Went in for a cleaning and they would not give a breakdown of cost for fixing 6 fillings. When I called back I magically had 9 that needed fixed- only a week later!!!!
Do not put up with their rude staff.
Dr. Mc Neill will not take your call or talk to patients- she has STAFF for that (from receptionist.)
Save your mouth and go someplace else!
Top Dentist in Seattle – Dr. Karen McNeill is truly the best dentist in the Seattle area. My friend is a general dentist (who is currently practicing in California) was kind enough to offer me these insider tips. First, advanced cosmetic dentistry (porcelain veneers, smile enhancement, smile makeovers etc.) is really not taught at the university/college dental school level. Second, most practicing general dentists do not or only minimally invest in further training after dental school. This is why I went to Dr. McNeill. She is a Fellow Member of LVI, which is the most extensive school in the US for advanced dentistry. There are only a couple of hundred Fellow Members with this distinction in the US. This is where all dentists aspire to attend for their post doctorate dental school training. Attending this school is a big deal, but becoming a Fellow member of this school is the pinnacle of dentistry. More importantly, she is highly experienced having practiced for almost 20 years. This means she has routinely done whole mouth reconstructions (aka..."extreme smile makeovers"). Not some spring chicken or fresh out the gate ready to try newly learned techniques on unsuspecting patients. This is why I completely trusted my health care to someone who really knows what she is doing. Make no mistake about it, Dr. McNeill is one of the most highly trained dentists in the area. As for my results, I love my new smile makeover. My smile looks exactly how I had imagined it prior. Dr McNeill also stresses the importance of a healthy smile for the long term, as the priority. Although I had lot of work done, she is very conservative in her approach. This I appreciate when it comes to my health. It's cliché, but I look ten years younger. It's amazing what a nice smile can do. Many thanks to Dr. McNeill, a true artist & dental maestro.
Great cosmetic dentist – Dr. McNeill-O'Conner did excellent cosmetic dentistry on me. I am thrilled with the results! Her office worked with me to get my work done within a tight time frame. I highly recommend this dental office.
Great Experience – Excellent! I work at Microsoft in Redmond and the office is close by. Great experience at Smile Artistry. I really like Dr. Karen McNeill. Big Plus! They take Premera Insurance
Dentist that will actually fix your problems. – If you're looking for a dentist that will just clean your teeth, over look your problems and get you out the door quickly, they're a dime a dozen in Seattle. However, if you want someone who's going to notice the things that have been bothering you your whole life and fix them, this is the place to be.
I've had problems with my mouth since I was a little kid, and just thought that's the way it was supposed to be, after all I brush my teeth and do the things they tell me to. When I mentioned it to dentists in the past they either told me not to worry about it or that I 'just needed to floss through it". (What is that supposed to mean?) Smile Artistry showed me that it doesn't have to be that way, and with very few treatments and following their advice the best I could, I see SO MUCH DIFFERENCE in the health of my teeth and gums.
Dr. McNeill and her staff are definitely the best I have ever been to, and I've pointed several close friends her direction and they all like her too. When you go, do be prepared to spend some time there as the pace is a little slower than what most people are used to, but I think it's well worth it to have a doctor and staff that actually pay attention to what is going on with your health and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are cared for.
Also, I never had the problem that they other reviewer mentioned about being charged for things I didn't know about. Perhaps I'm more diligent about asking what things cost before they start, but I was always given a quote for every procedure.
Wonder Woman! – Two years ago I decided to make the substantial investment in a full-mouth restoration. My teeth were a mess. I had old, deep silver fillings and a broken molar. I had another consultation with a cosmetic dentist in the Seattle area before I decided to go with Dr. McNeill-O'Connor. The results were marvelous and life changing! I was very pleased, considering the state of my teeth before the work. However, Dr. Karen was concerned with the seating of one molar where a deep cavity left little tooth for even the most talented dentist to work with. It never bothered me. After the restoration was complete, I continued with her practice until a job change made it difficult to visit their Redmond office for routine cleanings. They were happy to refer me to a dentist closer to where I work and even made my first appointment. Being the perfectionist, Dr. Karen insisted before I transfer dentists that she rework the challenging area, costing her extra hours and materials and saving me the discomfort, time and expense of a crown lengthening procedure. I agree with other reviewers who advise if you are satisfied with dental care that you would rate "satisfactory" by your layperson's standard, you'll be astounded by her tenacity to give you the healthiest teeth ever!
Seperating the boys & girls from the men & women – Nowadays, it's common for most dentists to advertise "General and Cosmetic Dentistry". Don't be fooled. There is a big difference between those who are actualy trained in cosmetic and advanced reconstructive dentistry and those who are not. Dentists earn their doctorate degrees at various universities or colleges. (Dr. McNeill received her doctorate from The University of Washington). Of course some colleges are better than others, but my real point is colleges only teach a very basic level of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. If your looking for a filling, or other basic dental care..then fine, but if your looking for more..such as any kind of cosmetic, smile makeover...veneers.. full reconstructive..etc...then you need to find a dentist that has this level of advanced training. This training is only learned at a handful of facilities in the US and certainly not at any college. The best and most prestigous is LVI in Los Vegas, Nevada. This is where Dr. McNeill went for her advanced studies. She is a "LVI Graduate" ...meaning she completed all courses, (not just a few courses that some dentists take). This advanced training is ardous and and expensive investment for any dentist to make. In Seattle, there's really only handful dentists who are truly qualified with this training. Furthermore, I would ask the dentist how many "full mouth reconstructions" he or she has performed and for how long? I would suggest 5 years and over. In my experience, Dr McNeill and only 2 other dentists in Seattle have this experience. I had 12 veneers and gum reshaping not to mention some health related..a filling and a root canal. Anyways, I love my results, thought the services and technology they have at their disposal is top notch. Excellent!!
Love my smile makeover, excellent results and service. – I live in NY and flew out here to have my smile makeover done at Smile Artistry. Love the results.
I had a complete smile makeover done and I feel like a new smile has changed my outlook.
I did research...people in Seattle are lucky...I don't think Manhatten can compete with the service I received. Excellent service, excellent results...worth the trip!
Love my new smile. . . – I spent many hours researching and many appointments at various dentists. Undoubtedly the best, if in the market for a smile makeover. My new smile has changed my life, I look 10 years younger. Dr. McNeill-O'Connor is very detailed in her work.
Smile Artistry - Smile Makeovers for the discerning! – Smile makeover? The best by far! There is a vast difference between dentists who offer 'cosmetic dentistry' and those who offer full mouth reconstructions. This is another industry unto itself. It is a far cry from general dentistry also. For example, if you want a patch me up, "I don't really care filling"..go elsewhere. If you care how your smile looks then this is probably the place. If you want a smile makeover, this definately the place. 99.9% of dentists do not have the experience or advanced training necessary for smile makeovers. Point beingSmile Artistry are the most highly trained and skilled for cosmetic or advanced restorative work. After 'separating the men from the boys,' I visited 4 practices offering full mouth reconstructions. I researched Dr. Karen to have as much or more experience than the others. Other thoughts.she has taste and style. That goes a long way when designing a smile for the more discerning among us. Love my new smile! Highly recommended!
