In Short
A dozen white-clothed tables fill the intimate amber-tinted room, votives flicker simply on the walls, and neighborhood intellectuals mingle with Orthodox Jews and Melrose hipsters. Modern North African beats pulse low until the restaurant fills up and lively chatter overtakes the air. The all-kosher menu includes traditional appetizers such as brick (stuffed pastry leaves), Merguez sausages and fish of the day handpicked by the owner. All may be ordered with the traditional accompanying fried egg.

My husband and I truly had a wonderful dining experience at Greta. This is truly a Tunisian experience. The brick L'oeuf is so delicious. Its like a family style restaurant. The owner serves your dishes, he welcomes you and he is even on a first name basis with his customers. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Your expectataion should be that you are in Europe and you are going to be surrounded with people from all cultures. Their steaks are great as well. I can't wait to go back.

made a reservation got to greta only to find 1 waiter for the whole place who was rude and non professional. was given a menu right away. waited 15 minutes for bread and dip to be sent to my table. the tables are so close that i felt like i was part of the table next to me's conversation. my friend sitting accros from me could not hear me at all. no music lighting is bad and place is very noisy. after weighing my options i left before the waitor even came to take my order this being more than 20 minutes after i got there. GRETA'S GETS AN F- FROM ME
