The service was good. The food was bland. – The restaurant decor was nice and the service was great. The parking lot is very small. The restaurant was dirty and dusty. The plastic dividers between the booths were covered with dust as were all the straws. The food sounded great on the menu with interesting combinations of rich flavors. The finished product was suprisingly bland. Our crab dip tasted more like tuna fish. The "Fried Green Tomato BLT" with applewood smoked bacon, arugula, gouda, and a fried green tomato on fociaca was greasy and bland. The bread was tasteless, as was the bacon and the tomato. The crab cake sandwich was the same. The crab cake was a third the size of the bun, which made for a still hungry husband after lunch. The child's portion of fried flounder was the tastiest and most reasonably priced item we ordered. We were dissapointed, and would not recommend.

Too many kitchen problems – Nice view of Cooper River and shipping activity, But that's where it ends. I ordered Eggs Benedict with Crabmeat. Somebody forgot to take eggs out of poacher -- they were hard boiled. A fried oyster appetizer had large shells in most of oyster matter, and potato salad had quartered potatoes -- difficult to eat. These are all signs of a lazy kitchen. It took 45 minutes from ordering to first of these "masterpieces" to come to our table -- not good.

Poor service and below average food – We decided to try eating at Fleet Landing while showing downtown Charleston to some weekend guests. While the location was great and the atmosphere was appealing, we wish we had decided to go elsewhere. We arrived at 12:30 and were able to finally pay and leave at 2:20. Service was poor and it took WAY too long to get our food. When our food did finally show up we were very disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered the basket of fried scallops with cole slaw and potato salad. What I received was four small, tasteless scallops along with french fries and potato salad. Somehow they forgot to substitute the cole slaw for the french fries. Two of the scallops were luke warm while the other two seemed to have come straight out of the frier. It was the overall impression of everyone in our group that Fleet Landing was a bar pretending to be a restaurant. Next time we have friends in town we will make sure to skip the Fleet Landing Restaurant and try one of the other legitimate restaurants in town.

Great place to take out of town guests – I have enjoyed most every meal I have had here. The bar is well stocked and its in a beautiful location. You can sit outside on the surrounding patio if you smoke. On the inside which is an old Navy supply house the interior is pretty cool.

WARNING: this place can get packed during tourists season so call ahead during evenings & wknds. Fleet Landing does have its share of bad customer service when its super busy but don't let that leave bad taste until you've eaten there.

There is a Sunday brunch, and the french toast is very yummy. The lunch menu is mostly very delicious sammies-the turkey & brie is my fav along with the burger. Dinner menu is mostly seafood.

I do believe theyre are doing Latin music nights on Thursdays now, havent had a chance to go.

My only true gripe & I know this isnt a sports bar, but I wish they had bigger t.v.s at the bar, they are small and its kind of hard to watch when sitting at the tables during football season

best shrimp & grits ever! – I'm from Georgia, so I know grits. Their's are fabulous! We haven't been to Charleston in awhile, so we hadn't heard of this place. Our concierge recommended it, and it turned out to be our favorite place while we were on vacation...we ended up going several times. The food was great, and it was even better to be able to enjoy it on the water. Our server recommended mojitos one afternoon, and they were great. We don't get to Charleston nearly as much as we should, but we will definitely be back to this place when we return!

Bad customer service – Made a reservation and arrived 15 min early, 30 min later still had not been seated while at least four other patrons who arrived after our reservation was being seated before us. Ask the attendant had she forgotten about us she stated they were busy however, we would be the next to be seated, moment later someone else arrived and was promptly seated. This was all ironic because I am retired Navy and this place was once owned by the US Navy and operated as a fleet landing. I own my own business and customer service is job one.

This turned out to be a good thing because we left there went over to Atlantic House where there was a packed house with no reservation, was seated within 20 minutes, the food was great. I am sorry I wasted my time at Fleet Landing. I chose Fleet Landing because of a review I read on the internet, I hope for your sake if you go there you will find my review you will find my review wrong equally as wrong

Great Food – I live in charleston, and have really enjoyed Fleet Landing every time that I have visited. They always have exceptional service and are very prompt, but do call ahead for seating, b/c they seem to always have a wait. All in all great service and food!

Great Food and Great Atmosphere – Try this place for lunch at least!! The fried oysters are exceptional, some of the best we've had anywhere, and the blue plate specials, though somewhat small, are excellent in quality and value.

We can't wait for our next trip to Charleston to have dinner here.

If the weather allows, sit outside and enjoy the view.
