BULLSHIT... i got a 300 dollar bill from these fucks...i sighned a contract...once it fine print it continued...and nobody told me..mentioned it, during any transaction or upon my arrival..then i get a huge bill...THEY DID NOT BILL ME MONTHLY...but took a years worth of my non attendance and mailed it...i talked to the guy upfront..i told him this is bullshit....he told me i wasn't gonna get anywhere with my attitude..what a dick, then he told me he personally tried to contact me..witch was a lie.. i have caller id and in a 100% sure golds gym diddnt attempt to call they sent it to a bill collector..and i paid...the sad thing is they have a boxing gym there..and im goin back...but like everyone else previously stated..horrid customer service...they need to fire their entire staff.

The security cameras in the parking lot are fake. The gym bought new flat screen tv's and fitness equipment but neglected member security. My car was vandalized under a camera but the police said the camera was fake so no evidence could be obtained.

Horrible place. All they care about is money. They do not care about the people who walk in and want to actually get in better shape. I signed up and I was supposed to have a meet with the guy 2 days later to start a workout and when I showed up that day HE WASN'T EVEN THERE! They did not even have me down to meet with him that day. And canceling is the worst thing ever. When you call the main office you just get the answering machine, and they will hardly ever call you back. They have time to send you letters about your membership but they don't have time to call you back. They took advantage of me. I explained to them that I may not be in KC later in the year due to transferring schools and I told them where I was transferring and they told me, "oh yeah, you can transfer your membership down there!" Come to find out, there isn't even a gym in the city. They are salesmen not gym trainers.

Awful tour experience, scary manager – just had the worst, borderline scary, customer service experience of my life there. i went for a tour and the manager arbitrarily tells the front desk girl "Charge her for Day Pass" after my tour was done. The girls was like "I told her it was included in the tour". The manager lectured me about how it was a paying member facility and day passes are required. I'm fine with that, except it was a different story when I walked in. I was nothing but polite, but I swear the guy was roid raging and ready to punch me in the face for simply restating what I'd been told at the beginning of the tour. He stared me down at the front desk and the entire time I worked out (not long). I should've just left then, but I was in shock at how horrible it went. Plus, I figured, I endured his humiliation, I may as well work out. Awful, awful, awful.

Despite its Hollywood connections, this franchise's focus is on pumping iron, not newfangled razzle-dazzle. – In Short
The Terminator and the Incredible Hulk (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno) lifted weights at the gym's Venice, California, flagship years ago, but even today, customers frequenting charter locations are bound to encounter serious muscle. Take note: The boys with bulging biceps are the mascots, not the majority. Gold's generally offers Spinning, aerobics and kickboxing classes, yet weight-training remains the core of the program. Dumbbells and barbells, not spa-like amenities, are the attractions that draw the beef-heads in droves.
