Great Food, Great Service – This is my favorite resturaunt in Newport Beach. The desserts are amazing as well as the entree's. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries, Pear salad and Salmon. Delicious!! Don't forget to try the bread pudding dessert. It melts in your mouth.

A lot of Hype! – I recently visited the Sage Restaurant on the Coast, and found it dissapointing. I have been hearing so many good things about Sage, that I had to check it out. The hostess greeted us and proceeded to seat us in what I consider the most undesirable location, which was in the far left corner in the back. I asked if there was outdoor seating and she said "yes, if you like sitting next to the door". Hmmm?! No thanks I like it here facing the servers station watching them stuff their faces behind the scene thank you. We both had to sqeeeeeze in between the tables with our backsides in the customers faces next to us, just to get into our bench seat. If there was a fire who knows what would happen. The seats had bread crumbs all over, I had to brush it all down myself. Our wine was served so that the wine that now covered the lable that made it difficult to read, "someone please teach them how to serve wine". Our food came out we had to have it sent back because it as well as the plates were cold, but the meat was warm. Which lends me to believe that the vegetables and potatoes were on the plate first "waiting" for the meat to be cooked. My potato lasagne was already re-heated a couple of times already from the taste and toughness in texture, Chef should be monitoring a little bit more perhaps? Our poor waiter couldn't even serve us properly, because he had to reach over so far to get to us, maybe if he had moved one chair aside he would have been able to? I arranged our silverware, stemware, and our plates of food properly for my girlfriend and myself. I was quite surprised in seeing the manager sitting at the bar eating dinner and drinking wine while all this was going on, paying no attention. Must have been her break time? We did get a dessert comp, which was nice but not necessary, because it didn't change the overall food and service. Although I did like the decor, I think that we will stick to Bluefin, better food and service.

Great Find! – Best Bloody Marys around! They change the menu daily, lots of extras like scones and fresh raspberry jam, excellent food!!!! Interior is beautiful and peaceful. Sashimi is absolutely super as well as the wilted spinach salad with procutto and blue crab cakes with wasabi sauce. We will definately be going back.
