DON'T LIE & DON'T CRY – FIRST LETS GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY DRIVE BY SHOOTING OR MURDERS AT LEVEL 88. STOP LYING. SECOND IF YOU WANT A NICE PLACE TO GO TO, YOU MUST COME SUPPORT BESIDES FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR & FREE FOOD NIGHT. THE CLUB WAS GEARED TOWARDS AN OLDER CROWD, BUT THEY DON'T SUPPORT AND B.... ABOUT EVERYTHING. MY STAFF WILL WAIT ON ANYONE, BUT WE GET TIRED OF TRYING TO TEACH PEOPLE, IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE STOP TAKING YOUR 50 CENTS OFF THE BAR OR TABLE AND TIP FOR GOOD SERVICE. THE PERSON WHO WROTE SOMETHING ABOUT VIOLENCE AT THE CLUB GET A LIFE. THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE THE OWNER HE DON'T LIKE YOU EITHER SO BIG DEAL. I DO CARE ABOUT MY CUSTOMERS AND I ASSURE YOU THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT WILL SPEAK ON MY BEHALF.

I AM JUST NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF KISSING AS-. NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL. ALSO THOSE WHO HAVE SO MUCH ADVICE SHOULD APPROACH AND MAKE AN OFFER. STOP BITCHING AND OPEN YOUR ON CLUB. THAT WAY IT CAN BE JUST LIKE YOU LIKE IT MY FRIEND. HAVE A NICE LIFE. OH YEA IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY. NOT HOW MANY BACK STABBING PEOPLE I CAN MAKE HAPPY.

High Crime...Murders... – As a business owner within one block of this club I have seen and heard many things. Oher business people as well as myself were always there during happy hour until the violence sky-rocketed. The crime that this club has brought to our neighborhood has reached an all time high! Drive-by shootings, murders in the parking lot...VIOLENCE....Do the research...read it for yourself! The early evening has a GREAT crowd...however late night...you better wear body armor. The violence is out of control...NO JAZZ...Hip-Hop...that is fine, however if that genre keeps attracting the thugs, a chance is needed! I no longer will spend my money at this club...the owner is more concerned with $$$ than solving the violence problems.

Has great potential – The club itself has great potential to be the best jazz/bistro in Davidson county. But, there are some flaws that seem to be the norm for clubs run by a certain genre. The management needs to know what a jazz/bistro environment is all about.

There are never enough waiters/waitresses, there is no coat check (this is a must). And since the summer, the clientele has dropped due to the young, drug dealers and college students. It appears on the hip/hop side and all about the benjamins; than preferably having a select clientele who also spend money and probably could ascertain some real entertainment (Musiq, Jill Scott). The vision is there, it just needs management that knows how to sell this place and treat their customers.

NICE SPOT AND GREAT MUSIC – YOU KNOW THE THING I LIKE ABOUT LEVEL 88 IS THE LIVE MUSIC AND THE PATIO...YEAH IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT SOMETIMES ITIS GOOD TO SPLURGE. NOW THE ONE THING I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN...KEEP THE UNDER 30 CROWD AT THE OTHER SPOTS WHERE THEY ARE SHOOTING AND ACTING A NUT.

IT IS NICE TO HAVE A GROWN FOLKS SPOT....

Waste of time .... and money. – I also recently located from Houston to Nashville and a girlfiend and I visited on a Sunday night. We were under the impression that it was a JAZZ bar but it was hip hop which was fine. But it cost us 15$ a piece to get in and the place was crowded. If you dont have a table reserved you will stand up the entire time. They also had the football game on the large tv screens and to make matters worse there were scantily clad booty shaking women dancing on the tables. Now this is all fine and dandy but dahm at the time i was trying to meet some nice men but all there focus was elsewhere if you know what I mean. My friend and I stayed about 30 minutes tops and left highly dissappointed. I felt like this was a hang out for the boys.

Best Happy Hour Ever – I recently relocated to Nashville, and was referred to Level 88 by a co-worker for their happy hour. I did my research and read reviews and it seemed that the census across the board was that the owner is a JACKA$$. However after patronizing the club a couple of times myself I found this to be an understatement, though the food was AWESOME and the music was GREAT the owner however is an A$$! (drop the Jack) He is rude and does not know how to treat his customers. I hope that enough people will contiue to write reviews and warn people of this mans sour attutude and pi$$ poor demeanor; maybe he will take some sort of Management 101 course and improve. I would write a review on thier website, but the account has been suspended due to NON-PAYMENT! What a sorry excuse for a businessman. He should stop walking around the club like he is the MAN and handle his business.....MAN!

Better seating needed – I enjoy the club but it is no longer a jazz club, it's more of a hip hop club which I prefer. I do not like the seating, if you have not reserved a table, you will be standing all night. The drinks are extremely expensive. The servers are young, one who threw a ash tray near where I was standing. Food is good, however they don not tell you when the kitchen cloeses, and small setting. So if you are looking to stand up, where some comfortable shoes or if not reserve a table first.

Rude Owner! (shocked at the treatment of special guests) – I hope some of you got to go january 20th to the Ruben Concert because Corey Clark Showed up and performed and Rubens performance was awsome and Corey and Ruben were hugging and talking and having a great time it was a wonderful show all acts and if it wouldn't have been for the owner calling corey's dad out of his name (unaware of who he was obviously) all because mr clark was standing unknowingly in the view of another concert goer and treating his parents very badly(once again unaware of who they were) shouldn't matter though you should never treat anybody no matter who they are in such a manner that the owner of level 88 did, I would go back to level 88 but after I saw that treatment and the reaction from ruben and corey about the situation I will not be returning to that establishment. but a great show just not great hospitality.

Rude Staff, Cost Awful, Too Loud, Food Great!! – When this place first opened it was really something, but lately it hasn't been all to nice. They announce on the radio admission is free before 11:30, but if a football player gets there before 11:30 you will pay 20 bucks to get in. If you ask to speak with a manager, the staff will say "Ain't nothing he can do to help you". You will be searched outside and allowed entrance into the club, once inside another security guard will tell your male friend he has to change his shoes, or tuck in his shirt, or his pants don't fit. (Why was this not discussed before entering the club?) There is never a place to sit, the waitress will not serve black women, unless we are with an NFL player of course and even then you must tell them what team he plays for and its possible he will have to show his NFL Player Card. Not Good!! Drinks are half decent now, but they use to have a really amazing bartender who no longer works there. I can say the food is Great!!!! The catfish sandwich, the fries, and everything other thing on the menu is Great. The Music is ok, but nothing to scream about, unless your in the band making a lot of noise. The singers should no we can hear them, THE CLUB IS NOT THAT BIG!!! This was an average experience at best!!!
