They have so many different games being played on so many different screens scattered about - you almost need a special decoder to figure it all out. Not a bad problem to have if you are really into sports. But you can't live on sports alone and Buckley's makes sure to serve up some tasty pub fare from the kitchen to keep your energy level up.
Very good place for fish and chips, Taylor tots, full bar and a lot of beers!
Buckley's has always been one of my favorite spots. It feels like a real neighborhood pub. In fact, the owner says he doesn't like the term "sports bar" because it denotes bad service and bad food. He prefers to call his place "a pub with a sports problem." The food is good, families are welcome, there are board games for those who get...bored watching the game(s), which are featured prominently on about a dozen flat screens. Good vibe all around.
Dog Friendly! – It's rare to find a restaurant that will let you bring your dog on the patio, but mine was welcome and given a dish of water to drink while we ate. The food was great, the drinks were delicious (try a blueberry lemondrop!) and our waitress was friendly, and made us feel really comfortable.
Fun place, amazing sweet potato fries! – I love this place for casual dinners or to watch a game. I've been here about four times and it's always been good. The club sandwich and french dip are both delish, and they come with sweet potato fries that have made me crave coming back! The menu is mostly bar food but it's good food and moderately priced. Lots of different beers on tap. The bar kind of reminds me of Cheers. Only downfall is it's hard to find a parking spot.
Great Spot! Hidden Gem! – What a great spot! It's Non-smoking, great food, I LOVE the burgers, and the Pasta Primavera (get it with prawns). We go there for breakfast and football on Sundays. They have the BEST Bloody Mary's served with a beer back (all the mid-westerners will appreciated it). They have a hugh Hi-Def Flat screen over the bar with the NFL Package, and MLB package too, so I've never missed a game. The overview says not Kid friendly, but it is, that have a kids menu, and crayons etc...
I would recommend reservations, especially with a large group, 'cuz I think the word is out!
Great service and comfortable atmosphere – Buckley's is a great place. The food is always wonderful, and their selection of wine is nice, not to mention the great service from Steve at the bar. It's so nice to have a non-smoking restaurant/bar with sports on flat screens TVs. The other great thing is there always seems to be a close parking spot, even though the place is busy.
my neighborhood pub – i love buckleys. tim and his staff are always pleasant and fun to be around. the chefs put together some fabulous food - i've never had a meal i didn't like and they are always willing to make something special for you. the fish is always excellent as is the roasted chicken cobb salad. on one hand i don't want people to find out about it because it's MY place - but in reality, this bar is well managed and deserves lots of your business. great to meet up w. friends for a pint.
