Swimclub is now called El Camino! – Uh, this place is actually now called El Camino, and is a Mexican restaurant/bar, with naturally raised meats. I wish Citysearch would update their listings!

The good reviews make it all the more disappointing. – Met some friends here to grab a bite before heading into town for a show. I sat at at the bar for several minutes before I could even make eye contact with one of the employees; to which I was greeted with a scowl, and the gentleman went back to doing whatever it was they pay him for. I was finally able to get someone to take my order, but when my wine was brought out by another gentleman; he proceeded to pour it into the glass of another patron at the bar. Seems the person who took my order either failed to properly communicate who placed the order, or this 2nd gentleman simply wasn't paying attention.

The place has a nice ambiance, and the crowd is slightly more mature than some of the other Highland spots. At least on that particular night. However, it was a Saturday night and the place was never more than a third of capacity. I remember reading about how they had to turn people away this place was so popular. I also had recently read that they changed their concept from tapas and small plates, to pizza. I attempted to open some conversation with the bartender by inquiring about the recent change. He snapped back at me, "I wouldn't know anything about that; I've only been here a few weeks," and then hastily went back to what he was doing.

At this point the pizza was going to have to be amazing to warrant another visit. It's not like there aren't other places where you can forgive gruff and uneven service for fantastic food. Sadly, Swimclub won't be joining that group. The pizza was an oily mess. They put far too much of their "house made" mozzarella, and it seperated badly. The crust was flavorless and had no body.

I've been to plenty of places in Denver where I felt they couldn't care less about my patronage, but this is one of a select few where I actually felt like they would have prefered not to serve me in the first place. To be honest I wish they would have just turned me away at the door.

Mediocre at best – My fiancee and I went to eat there a few months ago. We arrived there at 7:30 and were greeted with a very friendly host. She actually took my cell phone number and called when our table was ready, which was pretty nice. We ordered a few tapas and drinks, both were very good. Unfortunately we actually ordered real meals in addition. First of all my fiancee's meal showed up around 9:30 pm (yes, about 2 hours AFTER we were seated), and mine didnt show up until 15 minutes later!!! He was practically finished! I was so irritated that I immediately asked her to box it up, because I had completely lost my appetite. Fortuantely, she did remove the cost of my meal from the check, but nonetheless, we will NOT return.

NEVER been disappointed - Swimclub32 is Uniquely Fantastic – Having travelled quite a bit, I've dined and drank in numerous cities nationwide. I consider myself a bit jaded when it comes to restaurants. I had come to believe there really was no new, different, interesting or authentic restaurant concept left, or any degree of service that could impress me. Then I went to Swimclub32.

I love this place. Swimclub is cozy, comfortable -- and style-y with a dose of unpretentious cool. I appreciate this place's committment to fresh, organic food -- and drinks done fresh and with class. I, myself, have never left swimclub "hungry." I like reasonably-sized portions that leave my hunger satisfied and my palate lit-up. If you're happy being served Herculean-sized poritons of average-tasting food (a good deal of which will end-up in a garbage can) you have plenty of other options.

I go to Swimclub for a relaxing, genuinely pleasurable experience. I've been there on dates, with my family, at a business dinner. No matter the occasion or mood of my group, the servers made me feel at home, and even taught me a few things about artesian wine or local organic produce. They know their stuff. They are consummate serving professionals who treat guests with a warm kind of pride -- like you're in their own home.

Some of the best food coming out of denver! – I am not one to write reviews, but I have to say that swimclub 32 got my attention. I was taken back at first by the layout. It is not what I would say people of Denver are used to. The layout has a zen quality. Low seating, and an incredible attention to detail when it comes to lighting and vibe. We were instantly greeted and felt right at home. The hostess made sure that we got the complete 411 on what swimclub 32 was all about. "We are a green restaurant that believes in supporting the local farmer. From the Tomatoes to the wine, we believe in quality not quantity". And from there, it was history. The food was amazing. I had the Black Cod, and our server recomended an artisan sake that they said is served cold. Since I was only familiar with hot sake I thought why not. I am here to tell you that I will not be going back to hot sake again. Wow!! My date and I ended up spending 2 1/2 hours eating and drinking our way through the menu, and it has been one of the more memorable evenings I have had since moving to Denver. Swimclub 32 is what I consider a gem of a restaurant. It is a must if you haven't already been!

Don't go if you are hungry! – We love tapas food and when our friend recommended Swimclub 32 we were really excited to check it out. We invited 2 of our friends and left with a $300 bill and an empty stomach. I have never paid so much for food and wine and left hungry. The tapas is designed to be more for a light snack, not dinner. Lesson learned! Very trendy atmosphere.

Eat before you go – This is not the place to go if you want to eat a meal. This is the type of place where you order a bunch of stuff...eat it, and leave hungry. The prices don't look so bad until you see what you get...and what your bill is at the end when you don't feel satisfied. OUr friend had us come there for her birthday, she got drunk and had a blast because everyone paid for her. The others really felt the pinch...

Beautiful, kick back, hip, no pretensions – I can't say enough good things about Swimclub 32 but the menu isn't what is used to be. The menu used to a have a wonderful mix of japanese minimalist dishes and feel good comfort foods. But now, the menu just doesn't pull together well. Most single dishes are so random and it's hard to create a meal of small plates that flow. Pierogies, chips/guac, tuna tartare, pizza, cod, baked onion...the choices are awkward.

coolest wine list – Wow! I had the best time ever at Swimclub 32! The waitstaff was incredible. The food is all organic and so amazing, very worth its cost. One of the most romantic restaurant bars Ive ever been to. At the end of our dinner there was a live band playing and the music was so intriguing that we stayed for four more drinks. Best night ever!
