not a place for us – we went here a few weeks ago for an afterwork birthday party. The place was very crowded and the drinks were quite expensive. Very college orientated crowd. Good music selection tho.
A Rush Street legend from the '80s returns with an upscale scene and Gold Coast views. – In Short
A fixture in the Gold Coast club scene in the '80s and early '90s, P.S. Chicago is back with 5,400 square feet of dancing and lounging space, twin waterfalls, plasma TVs, lavish couches and high-top tables with great views of Rush Street. The tunes still focus on the '80s, though don't be surprised if you hear current chart-toppers and hip-hip, too.
holy hot people – This place was comfortably crowded and crawling with hot young women. The drinks are pricy but timely and fully loaded. The dancefloor is there if needed, but it is neither in the way nor hidden in another room. Definitely the best lounge/dance club on Rush Street, it's not Level (packed with pushy wanna be rich kids) and it's not one of those old people bars. It's just right.
Are they serious? – There's kitsch, there's cheesy and there's just plain bad. Then there's P.S. Chicago. This has to be the most ridiculous excuse for a "nite club" I've ever seen. It's like a bad sitcom. If you're out for a good laugh, stop in, have a drink, have a giggle then move on to wherever you're headed. The music was bad, the crowd was over-cologned and self important and...well, let's just say their best days were behind them.
Welcome Back! – I had dinner with a group of friends celebrating my birthday. We all headed over to PS Chicago to continue the party. From beginning to end the staff was was nothing but wonderful. Just last week I returned with a small group of friends and was treated with the very same wonderful service. On both occasions we enjoyed ouselves dancing to old school music and talking to other friendly customers. No, it's not the latest huge trendy club with new adults trying to impress. I say give this place a try and keep an open mind.
The Wedding Reception – NEVER AGAIN, I can't believe I had to pay $10 to get into this place. The DJ sounded like he was working a wedding reception and played wedding reception type songs such as Brick House, and Celebration? The dance floor is made up of square tiles that you can take in and out like a wedding reception, and the decor looks like a restaurant that you'd hold a bad wedding reception in. Who ever wrote the positive review for this place either works for the place OR was so drunk they don't remember where they were. I think this place needs to figure out who they want their clientel to be and what type of atmosphere and feel they want. They advertise it as a casual night club and bar......it's not a night club other then they charge you $10 to get in and $10 for a bad drink.
YOU MUST GO !!! – WHETHER YOU LOOKING FOR A WILD AND CRAZY NIGHT OF DANCING TO GREAT MUSIC OR JUST RELAXING WITH FRIENDS. P.S. CHICAGO IS FOREMOST THE BEST PLACE TO BE. HANDSOME AND FRIENDLY BARTENDERS ARE AT YOUR SERVICE.
MY FRIENDS AND I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME WILL RETURN SOON
Don't Ever Go – I was just at this place on Feb 4, 2005 and I had a terrible time. The crowd was terrible... My friends and I were hit on by gross, older, overweight men, that used terrible pick-up lines. The drinks are way over priced! I would never go back here again!
