Simple, yet wonderful – The place feels a little like a converted church basement, but the food is so good and the staff so friendly that it doesn't matter at all. This is an excellent place for an intimate dinner--especially since it's open so late. The mint tea is superb, as is the lamb couscous and chicken tajin. Such an awesome respite from the fast food mediterranean dives or over-priced chic spots that are popping up everywhere.

Great Morrocan food – A refreshingly simple restaurant with excellent food and attentive staff without the attitude found in so many trendy places. The owner served us and he was friendly and very attentive. The falafel and lamb tagine were the best I have had- the lamb was moist and really tasty and we finished off the night smoking a hookah. I really enjoyed myself and highly recommend it for people looking for great food and a good night without wanting to be a part of the whole dining "scene".

Inconspicuous Wicker Park gem serves up authentic, fragrant Moroccan fare. – In Short
Don't be thrown off by the mini-bazaar of Moroccan merchandise up front; carry on through the curtains to the richly hued dining room, boasting about fifteen wooden tables, soft Moroccan music and intense, savory aromas. Hearty food priced to move makes up the modest menu: Start with an appetizer like hummus or zaalouk (grilled eggplant), or a bowl of harrira, Morocco's national soup. Stew-like tagines and grilled meats like merguez sausage dominate the lamb-heavy entrees.
