Best bar in Houston! – The Mezz is simply the best bar in Houston. They have great drink specials every night of the week and offer a variety of fun activities each month. Trivia Tuesdays are a blast (and how often do you go out and get a free shot just for playing?!) and their theme parties are always a good time.
All of the employees are amazing; you'd be hard-pressed to find better service anywhere else in Houston.
Aside from the good drinks, the Mezz also has really good food, which is kind of surprising for a bar. Their menu is varied enough to satisfy any drunk-cravings and everything is delicious.
Best Lounge in the city! – My absolute favorite bar to go to. I love the friendly staff and great alcohol choices. Sometimes hard to find a parking spot, so get there early! They work hard to get all the major sporting events up for everyone to see. My first choice when deciding to go out!
i WILL go on fight night and any other night. – I can't believe the guy complains about having to buy a bottle of water.
Good luck finding another bar in Houston that carried the fight, at the request of their loyal patrons no less, because most of the folks that come out to watch boxing quite frankly don't drink and leave right after the fight is over. If you were that upset you should have taken your cheap arse to BW3's.
They take take care of everyone that comes in there. Phil's staff is professional and awesome. Oh wait. Unless you're just a cheap arse to start with.
Not to mention they carry every NHL game, which very few places in Houston do, especially in that relaxed of an atmosphere.
Dont go on fight nites! – I was looking for a good sports bar yesterday to watch the mayweather and mosely fight. I searched and called about 6 places and found that Mezzanine had a cover of $15.00 which is good for a great boxing. We there early around 7:10pm and good a great seat. Then a large groups of drunks rowdy guys came in and were so loud that i could even her the sports on any of the 9 tv's. But to make a long story short is that we moved downstairs to the fl. level bar where cute Justin was serving along with just damn asian girl that was really pushy and trying to make sells. Well after i bought to picther of beers and ask for a cup of water and her reply was " on game night we only have BOTTLE WATER"! So i had to buy a BOTTLE WATER to have WATER! I was so pissed off . I bought 2 pictcher of beer and those cheap m...f... wouldn't even give me a cup of water. I will never ever go back to the shithole again . that was my FIRSTand lAST time i spend my hard earned money there. I will find a sports bar the really care about their customers and to have a cold iced cup of water. i hope the owner will read this and make changes(im so the owner will not cuz they,he,she, or them are to cheap to).
I love this place – I love the mezz. always something going on. great drink specials and great atmosphere
A cool spot to hang during the week! – I LOVE this place (upstairs) on Tuesday nights! My girlfriends and I call this our litte hideaway spot because most of our friends have never heard of it - and we like it that way :) On Tuesday nights you can enjoy "$2.50 you call it's" all night long and a lot of the songs they have in the jukebox took me WAY back...I'm talkin old school 80's carryin' a boombox on your shoulder gold chain and addidas rap!! Now don't get me wrong, they play a WIDE variety of music and the crowd is always pretty mixed, so there is a little something for everyone. They also have a mix and match menu of food...I would not recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp (I suppose that's never a good idea at a bar), but the mango wings and the pizza usually don't disappoint. I always leave a happy camper!! One thing I often wonder - when you walk in there are people engaged in what appears to be some sort of group game...can anyone tell me what the heck is everyone doing downstairs?? LOL!
Something for everyone – This is truly the classic example of a neighborhood pub where you can go and feel comfortable. You can see and get to know all ages, groups, etc. A wonderful blend of folks like to hang out here. The bartenders and management are just the friendliest!! Caution: If you are used to getting weak , watered down drinks at other places, you better go easy on the drinks at Mezz. They pour them plenty strong! The shot wheel is fun and Poker nights are great! Karioke is a hoot!
GREAT LOUNGE!!!! FALSE ADVERTISMENT!!!! – I was so excited to hear that the Mezzanine Lounge shows the game as well as the fights for free. It was to my dismay , when my boyfriend and I arrived we were charged a $7 cover charge. Not that $7 is expensive, but the online video was a fraud!!!! The Mezzanine Lounge is a great club and attracts many people, so for future references "DON'T FALSE ADVERTISE".
I am not sure how that phrasing slipped by me when I approved the info video, but I do apologize for the mistake in wording. We do not & have not ever charged a cover for UFC PPV events. However, we are contractually obligated to charge a cover for any Boxing PPV events that we purchase.
Best place to get out of the d**n traffic! – Wonderful staff, cool place to hang out. Reasonable prices and great food. Oh yeah, the drinks are awesome! Best of all - everyone is welcome.
Best bar in town – This is the best bar in town, without a doubt. You won't find more friendly, hands-on owners, managers or bar staff. From Tommy and Tanya, to Phillip (my favorite Golden Tee victim), To Damien and all the great bartenders.
I don't look for places to go anymore. I just decide when I want to go out and follow my friends right here. My favorites are definitly Tuesday Trivia and DJ Larry on Fridays, who by the way will be upstairs Halloween night playing some scary tunes for us all. But the best thing is just hanging out with my friends on thier huge patio. Either watching a game or fight on the big screen, or a band on the stage. Check it out. You will have fun here.
