Best Spa-Hands Down! – My best-ever Massage and Facial was at Kaya. I also got my hair cut there last week last minute because I wanted to try a new stylist, and it was great too! I feel like I have found a one-stop place for all of my pampering needs! And they have a parking lot, so I that makes for an even better experience. I try to avoid Saturdays because it is really busy, but during the week and even Sundays are super low key and relaxing. Try this place if you haven't already, it's great.....
Superb experience from beginning to end! – I was recommended to Kaya by a coworker and I will definitely be coming back. The service is unpretentious, the space is ultra-relaxed, and the service providers and staff are gracious and seem genuinely happy to be there. I read a former review about how the staff turnover is high, and this is obviously untrue, because the receptionist, esthetician, and nail tech that I saw have all been on staff since the day the business opened, which was almost 4 years ago! Get the facts straight before blaspheming a business all over the Internet, folks! Anyway, this place makes for an awesome experience and I would recommend it to even the pickiest of people!
Go to Kaya=getting ripped off! – Go to kaya day spa and get ripped off! Thats what will happen to you! There are better options in this city to get your nails, waxing, skin and massage services done at. Honestly, don't waste your time and money here! The services are average, there's a high technician turnover rate (that should be telling us something), and the management is HORRIBLE!!!!
Careless Staff = Ruined Birthday!!! – I arranged for my fiance to take a half day spa package for her birthday. When she arrived, the staff told her that they had her scheduled the following week!! First they told my fiance that 'I' must have scheduled it that way (as if I wouldn't have remembered her birthday) but when I called to tell them that I had a document confirming that it was on that day, they only then became apologetic. Yet they still wouldn't even attempt to fit her in!!! Needless to say I had to scramble to find a way to make it up to her. Careless and totally unprofessional!!!
A Diamond in the Rough – on several friends recommendations as "the best day spa in the city", i was curious to see if the the place was really that good. I figured i'd have a massage and a facial. After finding kaya, i parked in their large parking lot, and checked in upstairs at the desk. The reception was courteous and friendly. afetr i was given a gown and slippers, i rested in the mens quiet room. the water wall was nice and relaxing. i was then taken to the facial room and had my first srvice. she talked me through it. I'm a guy, and i did not know anything about facials, let alone the 15 different products that she used on my face. i had a very pleasant experience. the message was just the cherry on top. the music in the rooms and the aromatherapy temselves are extremely relaxing. i felt like a marshmellow. i gotta tell ya, woking the type of stressful job that i have, it is awesome that i can occasionally log off from my go go go life and have some exceptional professionals take care of me. thank you. I'm sending my mom.
holiday fun – I organized our company holiday party here and everyone was very happy! They made the entire process easy and quick. There were 20 of us and we all had 2 services, with food and drinks in between. Yeah, we paid a party fee, but we were stress free, they set everything up and cleaned it up for us, all we had to do was enjoy! We will definitely have our party here next year and a bunch of us will be coming back on our own.
Horrible Pre-Wedding Spa Day Party – I never submit reviews, but felt the need to warn other brides on this spa before being disappointed. Kaya charges a 10% service fee onto EACH spa service for having a spa party - I was told the fee covers the setup of food - which is a folding table, plates, silverware and glassware - that's it. I have never heard of a spa charging a client a service fee for bringing in more business?!! Kaya's website states that they will provide champagne, juice and water - they only provided water. I had justified in my mind that the 10% fee would cover the champagne and juice that would be provided. I was told the week of the party that they could no longer provide the champagne because of a citation given to them by the city that Kaya is NOT TO SERVE ALCOHOL. However, TODAY they still state on their website that they will provide champagne and juice!?!! Unfortunately, I feel the owners of Kaya misrepresent themselves and false advertise their spa parties. They are clearly much better at servicing one client at a time instead of taking on a large group.
loved it! – first or all the place is beautiful, relaxing and it even smells amazing! the staff is surprisingly sweet, knowledgeable and thoughtful. not to mention the services were unbevlievable and they use the best products! i will definitely be back!!!
mediocre value - very average service – Average services, mediocre decor/lounge ... my mother and I came for my birthday. Although the services were average/ok, I thought it was rather overpriced for what we were getting. However, the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and welcomed us with a good standard spa setup (robes, sandals, locker) ... this went a long way considering that the services were a borderline disappointment. Needless to say, they might consider improving the overall experience. For the same prices, you might find better elsewhere - however, given how hard they tried to please, they might be worth giving a 2nd chance.
Converted to a spa enthusiast – I love this spa. It?s changed me from a spa ?dabbler? to a spa enthusiast.
My daughter used to buy me gift certificates to my old spa to no avail. I went there for waxing, an occasional pedicure, and only submitted to a facial or massage because of the gift certificates. No treatment could lure me into a regular.
Kaya changed all that. I started going just to try the waxing (their products are so gentle to the skin the experience has been consistently good). But this time as I tried the various services and treatments I found that I wanted to come back for more.
The first facial I tried was the Kaya signature facial and I loved it so much I was reluctant to even try the other options. But when I worked my way to the Lavender Fields facial I thought I died and went to fragrance heaven. Now I alternate between that and Zen Harmony because I?ve discovered that once these facials start I don?t want them to end.
Probably the most surprising experience was with massages. I don?t know why but my few former forays onto massage tables usually resulted in me hurting and vowing to never submit to them again. I understand that people (my sister included) love deep tissue massages, but I really, really, really do not want to be pummeled. Catering to my preference, the masseuses at Kaya have turned me into a regular massage customer.
I never used to get why people invested their time in spa treatments. I do now. I rate Kaya a 10.
