Amazing! – I recently had my hair cut at one salon, and dyed at another... Both times it got pretty butchered. I'm typically hesitant to go somewhere to get my hair done, because I do it myself but I wanted a dramatic cut and I wanted highlights and an all-over cover and wanted to be pampered. This was a mistake. I ended up correcting the dye job myself, but since I went from decently long hair to a pretty short cut, right above my shoulders, I didnt want to try to fix it myself.
A friend recommended me to this salon, and to the stylist Britney. I cannot thank her enough! She absolutely fixed my hair. She set me down and talked me through what I wanted, and suggested a few things as well. The shampoo was nice too, whatever products she used (i didnt ask, i have my own regime that works fine) smelt fantastic and my hair looked and felt amazing. Which is saying something because I'd been bleaching my hair for years beforehand.
Overall the salon was very pretty, it wasnt extremely clean but that might not be as noticeable to everyone else, I'm just a bit funny about germs and dirt and such.
The receptionist was pleasant and accomodating, the staff wasnt extremely professional, but that made it more comfortable to me because they all seemed relaxed and like they actually enjoyed being around each other. Overall, it was an excellent experience and my hair look great, Britney did a super good job fixing the mess that another 'stylist' did. I'd definitely recommend her and the salon!
Worst Waxing Experience Ever!! – I went in for a wax an walked out with SKIN missing!! I was told I had sensitive skin which could have been the case but i had to fly out of town in two days with scabs on my face. This was only one person and obviously not everybody but be very careful on who has experience waxing. Receptionist was friendly!
You will enjoy!! – Have been going here for a about 2 years. Billy always does a wonderful job with my hair...she does my daughter (who is a teenager) and we all know how picky there are :) but seriously it's in a great location, good pricing...dont see that they ever run any specials but they don't try to sell you something you don't need either!!! I never walk out thinking I need to go home and restyle my hair as I used to with other places. All in all I think you would be very please with any serives you have done here.
AWESOME!!!! – The service was spectacular. I walked in without a clue of what I wanted. After a consult the stylist created the most amazing haircut I've ever had.
Very POOR experience – Met with stylist for consult. Even brought photo of what specifically I wanted. Was told could be none with no problem. Made appointment. $$$$ later hair looks NOTHING like photo. No one could tell I had anything done. Was told I should give it a few days. Made follow up appointment for free redo. No appointments avail till almost 1 week later. Stylist had MAJOR attitude when I returned. Allegedly added more color. Hair still looks same. Very disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great Cut, Stylist, Price- GREAT SALON! – Just tried this salon today- great experience! I tend to be selective about my hair and am new to the area. I'm not hard to please as long as the stylist likes what they do and can do it well, can read my style/taste and cut according to facial shape/hair texture, curl, etc. Unfortunately, you don't experience that everywhere and there are few places that have gotten it ALL right: atmosphere, price, quality. Pilo Arts did a SUPERB job of doing just that!
Stylist: Jen Fontaine.
- cut my hair EXACTLY the way I described, didn't get too "gossipy" or personal as some stylists do, but was professional, sweet, sincere, and talented- she definitely knew what she was doing!
Atmosphere: casual, nice, clean (small couch w/ ample reading material for all sexes)
Staff: nice, even gave me a reminder call a day prior.
Payment: Visa, MC, (no Discover)
Price: Trim under $20 for my length of hair---dry cut, (may cost more for wash/blowdry?)
I'm glad to have finally found a great stylist/salon !
