Rating for Ruchi is not even close to accurate – 10 years ago Ruchi was great. Food, Service, everything. Still not the best in KC, but it was very good.
Today, the food is way downhill, almost as poor as the service. The food on the buffet is mediocre, the food off the menu has been really bad. The Butter Chicken is a pool of grease, it doesn't taste like real butter (or fresh chicken for that matter). The Chai tastes like it came out of a box.
Give Ruchi a pass, not sure if they will ever get back to the quality they used to have.
Boo....Booo – Not a good place to be anymore. Have been a customer for them for more than 6years and have seen this place rot. Qulaity down, service down, the owner a nice person but becoming over confident. The food does not same the good as it used to be. Need to do a little house keeping as the new decor definitely needs to be kept clean. Visited your place after 5 months and still have the same repeated experience on food and service.
Authentic Indian Food – The last week I have been to Ruchi Indian cuisine along with my family and got very pleased with the service and the high quality food they served us. We were almost 15 people and I am hesitating whether they can accomodate all of us at a single place. Yeah they did it without any exception even the restaurant at that moment was busy. We really enjoyed the food over there right from 'pakora' to 'double ka meeta'. Every item tasted delicious and I gotta feeling of homemade dishes back at home. I suggest everyone to visit Ruchi for the sake of care they take of us and last but not least awesome indian dishes.
best food best service bestdecor – I have eaten Indian food in large metro markets all over the country and I am most fortunate to live in the city that produces the best tasting indian cuisine I have eaten anywhere, bar none. In fact I have fallen in love with Ruchi to the extent that I eat there almost every day and never tire of the variety and taste. Ruchi means "taste" and it is truly exceptionally tasteful in every respect.
Bad service, Mediocre food – The people writing favorable reviews for this place must a) not be Indian/overly familiar with Indian food or b) don't know good service from bad. This place has the WORST service I've ever seen! It runs the gamut from being served water in plastic SOLO cups (yeah, the kind you drink out of at College frat parties) to lights turned off on you while you're still eating dinner!! The owners must think they own the Indian restuarant market in OP and they're untouchable because that's how they behave. And the food isn't even that good! I can get better food at a Dhaba (roadside restaurant) in India! After 3-4 such terrible experiences, I decided NEVER to go back there. And I make it a point to tell whoever will listen not to go back there either. As an Indian myself, I can definitely say that Flavor of India around 87th & Quivira or Touch of Asia at 103rd & Metcalf are MUCH better - both food and service-wise!!
Fraud... Watch out!!!! – This is a very average Indian restaurant........ but, watz funny is all the below reviews have been written by may be the owner or someone he knows as they all sound the same and most have them have written the same reviews using different user IDs..... wat a fraud.......
Good service – This is a restaurant you come back to time and time again. Good food, service, with little private dining area on the side of the dining area. Note the children servings are on the older serving size. Don't be fooled by the restaurant exterior..it is a nice place inside.
Best spicy food – You wana best spicy food. Its here in Ruchi. Please don't miss it. They serve the most delicious food from Indian taste with utmost good attendence. Idle place for family dining. Specially don't miss the spicy stuffs.
Good food in time – If you are searching for the best indian food stop at Ruchi..... they provide the best indian food with best service. Specially you would love spicy south indians. Good place for family dining and also for dates. You would feel like coming to this place now and then......
Good dining – I had my good dining with my family. The service was good with so many Indian specials to serve. specially don't miss south specials. Little spicy but you would like. Also good environment and idle place for dining.
