Horrible Customer Service – I live in St. Louis and have always made it a point to have George's everytime I come back to Kansas City. Some friends of ours introduced me to the restaurant & I thought it was great food. With that being said, I will NEVER go back in there after the way the owner treated my friend this past week. She had ordered pizzas in advance for her daughter's 2nd birthday- and paid for them in advance. Somehow it was miscommunicated as to the dates she needed them for. My friend, thinking it was her mistake, went in to appologize for NOT picking them up last Satuday and WAS NOT asking for a refund- instead all she wanted to do was order 5 MORE pizzas and PAY for them as well. The owner insisted that she did pick them up- or her "crooked friends picked them up and told her he "doesn't do business with DIRTY people" (she's hardly a dirty person- not sure what he meant by that comment) and he wouldn't sell them to her. Appaulled, she left the store confused wondering what she did wrong. She has been a regular of this establishment for years. What horrible customer service! She was not asking for anything- only paying him double for the exact same order because she felt it was her mistake & acknowledged that. Never again will I give them another dime. That really sucks cause they have great food- but you can't treat people like that- there's another pizza place on every corner. Good luck George. (by the way- Johnny C's is much better)
Best Pizza We've found in Kansas/Missouri. Excellent. – We've been searching for the best pizza in town and by far, this is at the top. We've tried all the others--but this beats any place in Kansas/Missouri HANDS DOWN. We grew up in Chicago, so we know pizza!
Good Pizza – We ate at George's pizza and it was really good. The cheese is awesome good sauce and crust. The train over head was cute for our kids. I thought the staff was a little weird and not much else sounded good on the menu. Salad was blah... Great house dressing though.
Editorial Review – George's St Louis Style Pizza offers tasty pizza dishes as well as mouth watering fresh sandwiches and various ice cream flavors.
Best STL Style Pizza in Town – One of the best! Cheese blend is delicious and St. Louis style crust is perfectly thin. We had the Deluxe w/ the mixed cheese blend and 2 house salads. Homemade creamy Italian dressing was very tasty. We went late on a Saturday night and the place was nearly empty. It's tucked away in a strip mall on the SE corner of 95th and Antioch and easy to miss. If you're looking for something different that the typical chain pizza, definitely try George's.
Absolute Best – George told me once that his pizza was kind of like Imo's in St. Louis. Well, I've had Imo's and this is way better. If he had a franchise near me it would be the only pizza I ate. I make sure I stop in at George's (used to be Leo's) every time I'm in town. Sausage, Onion with Provel, meatball and sausage sandwich, anna maries salad dressing... love the place.
BEST!!!!!!! – If you haven't had Georges, You haven't had the BEST Pizza in town..... Make sure that you have the Provelon Cheese blend...Loya customer for over 10 years...
