Was Once Good, Now Beyond Overpriced – I used to come to Hotel QT after work with my colleagues. The last time I was there must have been about a year ago and I had a great time with a cool vibe, decent service and fairly priced drinks. I went again tonight and was dumbfounded by the rude bouncer, the FORCED coat check (WTF?) and a $15 dirty martini. FIFTEEN DOLLARS for stoli and olives. That is beyond unacceptable. I will not be returning ever again. Who do you think you are?!
Best boutique hotel – This is my favorite hotel in nyc. They think about every single detail. The rooms are amazing and efficient. The pool and spa are beautiful. And we love the breakfast. If you like modern hotels, this is a must stay.
grown-up and trendy – I like going to the bar at QT. there's 2 of them each with handy lounge areas. elegant and classy crowd. I actually ran into the actress Kelly Washington there once! If I'm ever in a quiet mood, and still want to meet with friends for rounds of classy drinking while chit chatting, or a tete a tete with my bf, QT is a great spot to go.
Great For Young People – I stayed at this hotel in December and it made me feel like summer was already here. The atmosphere was great everybody was very friendly. Each room has an i pod docking station which was very cool. It is also in a great spot..there are so many things to do in time square no matter what time it is. The only thing I would complain about is the bathroom situation there is a sliding door from the shower to the toilet only one at a time has privacy.
Steps from Times Square, a stylish and hip oasis where bathing suits are required, no matter the season. – The Scene
A newsstand, brimming with goodies, greets guest at Andre Balazs's midtown creation, a reasonably priced, design-conscious hotel, punctuated with bursts of the color orange. The hotel's centerpiece is an indoor pool with a swim-up bar, DJ booth, and a projector. A quick trot away are a sauna, steam room and petite gym, and at night, a sleek lounge. For a quieter time, guests relax in the breakfast room, a low-key space that doubles as a living room and 24-hour coffee bar.
In the 139 guest rooms, beds are lofted and often bunked (one option features two sets of bunk beds, and each bed has its own flat-screen TV). Pillow-top mattresses and Egyptian cotton sheets foster coziness, even in rooms filled with more technology than furniture. Mini-fridges, CD/DVD players, free wireless Internet and iHome docks up the deluxe factor in otherwise minimalist (no dressers) spaces.
Small rooms but swank – Don't miss out having a drink at the bar and taking it with you into their heated pool. Not a lap pool in any way but just as enjoyable. Evenings are great over there with a dj poolside, steam room and sauna upstairs to boot.
A lovely secret (that I personally hope doesn't get too popular)!
