Overrated and Priced.
So I read the reviews and people either hated it or loved it, so me and my buddies and some girls went to check it out last night....This place was overpriced!!

If I am going to pay this much, damn, I am expecting a good club scene with some good music and some good eye candy......But nope. The place didnt live up to its price. Place got overcrowded and way too many guys. There were 4 Dudes for every 1 Chick.
Drinks were also way to expensive. $10 for a Rum-n-Coke. $8 for a beer.
This place was OK, but way overpriced. This place is worth a cover charge of $10.
Go spend your money else where.
Past the A-list now... so much better time and no snobs!. although the club is a few years past the A-list crowd, it still has great flow and good djs. the covered patio is great... smoking in an area that looks like indoor instead of being in a trash dumpster area like other clubs. Me and my pack go there 1-2 times a month and have never had any issues other than some drunk guy being thrown out knocked my girls drink down by the back bar, but they gave her a new one and were totally cool about it. Been going to Crimson Opera more now, but Mood still is fun.
WORST bartender in the back where the smoking section is!!!!!!!. Ok so the place is VERY small and packed like sardines. That is something I can tolerate but the bartender in the back was a total A$$h0L3! He is a caucasian guy with dark hair who carries service with a smile but in an instant is the worse bartender!!! Why? He gave away my drinks to someone else and only told them to tip him when he made us put a tab on it when we had a tab in the front already! That left a bad taste in my mouth about that place.
BIASED OWNERS AT THE MOOD NIGHTCLUB. Anytime you deny anyone anything based on the color of their skin, your place should be shut down. How dare the owner cancel a birthday party for one of Hollywood's most beautiful actresses because she is black! He should be taken out and whipped! I would not send a dog to make drops in the doorway at this place. I hope it burns to the ground.
stabbings and short people on a thursday night! yippie. i went there last night hoping for a stabbing and it happened! next i'll wish for cake! if you like a good stabbing on a thursday night and if you're taller than 5'5 this is the place to be.
great atmosphere, friendly bouncers, and good music. so i celebrated my birthday here with some friends. my first time, and i'm not much into the clubbing scene. majority of the people are asian, mostly chinese and korean. there is a small main dance floor, not much space to really move around a lot but still enough to get your groove on! a lounge area in the back to socialize and for those who smoke, they have an open roof ceiling. and another bar located in the rear, and one by the main entrance. andrea, the barteneder, was very nice and very fast! she was always smiling, and asked if i was having a good time, which i did. bouncers were cool, you can actually talk to them and joke around. the ratio of girls to guys was about 1 to 4. luckily, i met a few really nice ladies who danced with me and partied the night away! great fun for those looking for a safe and fun atmosphere. $20 cover charge for most people, they also have private tables, but not really private or worth it, my opinion. also, don't wear a jacket if you plan on dancing, way too hot! =)
OKAY club. Got there at 11, no problem getting in. We bought bottles and they really took care of us well. The music is okay, the place is not so great, and worst of all the people weren't good looking. More girls then guys but the ratio of cute girls to ... not cute girls is 1:20. And the ratio of good looking guys to not so good looking is 0:everyone. Closes at 1:30 . Not such a great club
Just Average. Got there at 10:30 and was easy to get in. I dont really agree with all the hype this club has received. The crowd was not very attractive. Good ratio though of guys to girls. Wasnt a typical "hollywood" vibe with fake looking people which is good. But i think my expectations were too high based on reviews i had read. Dont expect to be wowed here.
Hyped up wanna be trendy spot.... Arrived at Mood at 10:30... only a group of 4 in line... Waited in line for an hour, while their supposedly friends and guests entered without waiting for a minute. If you like being treated as a second class citizen Mood is the place for you. Valet guys provied better service, seriously though a ridiculous wait to get in if you have the patience.. Much better placees to go in Hollywood such as Area, Katana, Opera..
Great fun to be had.
Mood is a great place to go with friends. It is a fun atmosphere and all my friends love it too.
In response to the below review, I would like to ask what club in Hollywood does not charge more for male entrants than female? That is the way nightclubs are run, and it is the way they make money. It is not specific to Mood, so the review is irrelevant.
