Great home style bengali food !! – We tried borhani, tehari and halim. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, and staff friendly. We absolutely liked it. Highly recommended for savoring the cuisines of Bangladesh/Bengal region of India, which is quite different from the rest of India.
THE RIGHT WORD : DELICIOUS! – My husband and I were heading to little Tokyo and they were closed @ 9.00pm,so we decided to find a different place to eat and What a find! bengal cafe serves Fantastic food!Great mixes of herbs, healthy dishes and the taste ,really out of this world! Its the kind of cooking that I call true cuisine. The service is great ,the restaurant is clean. Try the Haleem for appetizer and the tehari for main dish.
I would certainly go back very soon!
How are you?
Thanks For you review.
User review by lil75 – This food is great! I was expecting Indian food, but Bengali food is very different. It's hearty but not-overspiced or oily, as some Indian food can taste. Each dish I tried was delicately balanced and pleasing. I've been back several times to fuel my addiction...it's my new comfort food.
A piece of Bengal in Cambridge – I am from Bengal and the food here was delicious , it was like eating home cooked food. Being from Hotels myself I am over critical but this deserves two thumbs up- Where are you Phantom Gourmet ?
The service was excellent, the decor was great , very clean and felt like home- love it!! Will return
great ambience quality food – It was a great value in a very tastefully decorated place.
The food was excellent and teh service was great. The bill was very reasonable.
amazing brunch! Great price! – What a find!!! This place has a huge brunch at a great price--far cheaper than mst Indian restaurants. And the hospitality is just like home. The place gets packed but they never run out of food. For those afriad of too many spices, don't worry, it's bengali food so it's mild.
small but huge on taste and service – I felt like I was in a small, beautiful, peaceful place with mouth-watering food delicately spiced. The staff was courteous and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant dinner. The check was prompt and surprisingly light. I will go back again and again, the lunch buffet is fantastic.
Homestyle Bangaldeshi food – They have really yummy homestyle Bangaldeshi food. Their Goat Curry, Chicken Biryani and Kebab Roll is best.
