horrible nail salon – After getting turned away at Bellacures because they were full :( I went to EWH in hopes that the negative reviews I had seen below were just a fluke. Unfortunately, I was wrong. This place is not as clean as some reviews might suggest. I saw them use the same tools they had just used on me on the next girl. I saw an autoclave behind one of the chairs, unplugged and empty. When I saw that my stomach sank. Now I'm just hoping I still have toenails in two weeks time.
I've had way better services for less money. I am willing to pay more for services as long as the place is uber clean, which this place wasn't. So for a mediocre mani/pedi that didn't live up to the "super clean" hype I give it 1 star. It's been 4 days and my manicure is totally chipped.
Falling apart – I've been getting my nails done at east west hands for more than a year. I always loved the service. But lately it's seems to be going downhill. I've noticed on a few occaions new girls not fully cleaning the tub, I did say something and she said she did, but I was watching her . Also many of the spa chairs are not working. 1 chair specifically has been broken about 5 months. Everytime I go in (every 2wks) I seem to get that same broken chair (chair no.1). I'm hoping I will start to enjoy going there again I really like several if the girls that work there.
BEST Thai Massage – Recommended to me after a car accident. Best Massage/treatment ever. NOTHING else removed or remediated the pain like the Thai Massage (not physical therapy/acupuncture/or any other type of massage, or treatment). Removes the pain, relaxes the muscles and the tendons, and I have better usage of my arm and shoulder. Sop far no other treatment for my pain and posture. Since 6/06
This is my favorite place for a pedi ever!! – I have been going to East West Hands for about a year a half. I have never had a bad experience. I have never waited or had a problem with parking. I go there for a pedi, but also for a relaxing quiet time. I usually go during the week and it is very quiet, I am sometimes the only person there. They have a great magazine selection and I usually sit and read and use the massage chair for about 20 min after my pedi is over. The inside is very peaceful and decorated well and they play relaxing music. I love everyone who works there. I feel like they take pride in their work, including the owner who is very friendly and is always making sure my experience is wonderful. I highly recommend this place. Its the best.
Ask for Alex or Jenny – I love getting a foot massage there ..Also convenient parking in the rear . try to avoid going on a saturday..it is packed with customers most of the time. Alex and Oar give great massages Jenny does a great job with Nails.Love it !! Love it! Love it!! an " out of Body experience"
the best around weho for $30 – i have tried several nailsalons to find the best and the cheapest in my neighborhood and i came to conclusion that no $20 manicure&pedicure will last as long as the one you get here at east west hands.
i like the people who work there, they are really really nice and two days ago when i got my last treat i had the best manicure&pedicure ever! it was very very relaxing, the music in the salon is calming. and the best is really that the nail polish lasts really really long, and that's what really matters...no?
My go to place – I've been going to East West Hands for over a year now. The booking service has improved as they have gained more experience. The owner is often on site, and makes you feel very welcome.
I bring my own polish, and they don't give me any attitude about it, like I've recieved at other places.
It's always clean and comfortable.
Overall they do a really nice job on my nails, even with the bright red polish I brought in. Recently, my pedicure got messed up on the way from the chair to the waiting area (my fault actually), and the tech fixed it right away, again with no attitude about it.
For a mid priced salon, I don't know that it can be beat.
I love this place. – This is where I go to treat myself. I go there for mani/pedis and they always last a really long time. The decor is really relaxing and the people are very attentive. The only negative is that there is sometimes a wait if you don't have an appointment. Overall, highly recommended!
Mean Girls!! – Baaaaaaaaaaaaaad Service!! The girls are sooooooooooo mean!! I would not recommend to anyone! Stay away from this store!
Great place! – I have been there a few times, and it is really a great place. Alex the owner is very attentive and is very concerned about customer satisfaction. It is reasonably priced and they do a great job! I recommend the reflexology foot massage.
