Entertaining without the South Beach attitude – Pawn Shop is everything you want in a nightclub - fun environment, great music and no South Beach attitude. Check out Thursday nights where a backyard bbq takes place on the patio. Saturday nights is a all out house party where anything goes - hot chicks abound! I also hear they are opening an elite lounge called Boutique...entrance in the alley way...I guess Pawn Shop would be the diner and Boutique the secret casino. Can't wait!
From Great to Trash – This use to be my favorite spot. The music was amazing and they managed it nicely. It has deteriorated as most clubs do when they start to get popular. The door scene is a catastophy, they bouncers are no longer profecional and are on Bounce Power Trip 101 and once you get it. Its packed to the gills and there is nowhere to dance. This place use to have great character. They killed it when they decided to hire thugs and poor cheap booze in their top shelf bottles. Was awesome. Now its just a matter of time before its gone.
ehh... – Great music and crowd once I got inside after waiting about an hour and a half only to pay to get in. The only way I can agree with the last user, is if you got a nice great big rack! LOL
Vintage pawn shop becomes pop-art nightclub for Miami's see-and-be-seen set. – The Scene
Don't let the original 1930s pawn shop exterior fool you, this is a nightclub. The vintage vibe permeates the interior design. Interior walls are splattered with neon light in abstract patterns. Seating areas are carved out of old dentists' chairs, carnival photo booths, a formerly yellow school bus and a re-created 727. The clientele is tragically hip (just ask Paris Hilton, who partied here on opening weekend). Word to the wise: Dress to impress.
Two bars keep the drinks flowing, a dance floor keeps the bodies moving and sweating and a spacious lounge area serves as a place to relax. The outdoor patio is shag carpeted and serves as seating area for prime people-watching. DJs spin everything from rock to house and live bands appear weekly.
Rockin' – The music is great, mostly 80s (Which is a welcomed change) and some indie-rock/alternative, the DJ knows how to get the crowd going. People dress anywhere from exentric goth to sneakers and old t-shirts.
I had to wait an hour in line because I just showed up. The people controlling the line are not helpful and don't keep track of the crowd since there is no line per se.
Atmosphere is great and the crowd is pretty cool, the area is not a nice neighborhood but there were cops outside keeping an eye out when I went and that made us feel safe.
Parking is a choice between a nice lit parking lot and nasty dark one, unfortunately the nice one gets full rather quickly.
The cover charge is nice and low, Revolver definitely gives you the most bang for your buck of any other club in the Miami area.
