Great on Friday nights – I have been there a couple times, it is a great place, great patio and great music !! not a mega club, but big enough to boogie down with some friends. Better to be on guestlist before going. Guestlist closes at 10:30 usually.
HORRIBLE BARTENDERS – The venue is great. The bartenders are NOT friendly people. One bartender, Alessandro, incessantly asked me for tips, even at one point refusing to give me my credit card back unless I tipped more. He did not smile, was not professional, was not anything that warranted any sort of understanding of his behavior. Every single time I was there, at least one of the bartenders asked me for tip. Their service was average and the quantity was same. I've seen enough bartenders to know when he is just an A-HOLE. (Chris at Garden of Eden was the nicest, best drink mixer EVER.) Dance floor is good size. Outside patio is good size too. If they just got rid of their bartenders and replaced them for more courteous ones, then this would be a fantastic club.
Really Inviting Crowd, Pretty Spacious Dancefloor.... – I went with a bunch of people from my martial arts school, and we all had a blast at Montmartre. Finding the entrance was a little difficult, but once we got beyond that, it was a really good time. The VIP area has nice tables, clean white spacious couches, and a great view of Hollywood out the window. The place stayed relatively cool all night, allowing us to dance without getting too sweaty, and the crowd was really friendly. I didn't see a single fight all night. I highly reccommend this place to anyone looking for a night out in Hollywood.
great atmosphere and sometimes even good music – the place has a beautiful set up with a glamorous bar, spacious dance floor, plenty of couches. i love the fact that the entrance is not on hollywood blvd but from the back of the building. wanted to have my birthday celebration there but the "bottle service" there is outrageously expensive. the food's also really good and the restaurant area is mellow and pleasant
Gratuity on drinks!?!? – The spot is hot. Decent music. Spacious smoking patio (view ain't so great tho unless you think the Burger King's parking lot is romantic) and the interior is lux. However the bartenders are beyond rude. Yah, we all know there is a huge line but it don't mean you can be gruff with your customers and then charge them a required 20% gratuity. There is a reason why it's REQUIRED. Definitly pre-party if you are going to go here.
Best Night Clubs – I don't know what the hell these other guys are talking about but this has got to be one of the best places in Hollywood. I've seen Paris Hilton, Sean Penn, Wayans Bros. Lionel Richie in the last few weeks. I frequent the club because it is the only place in Hollywood I have been where you aren't treated like sh....t. Sure it's hard to get in the VIP section but that's okay - it's the same all over town.
Why is that loud man yelling? – The Day after was introduced to my friends and I as very exclusive...We, the four of us girls and 1 dude, walked out of our car and right into the door of the club ignoring the line outside. Were pretty hot, but still. The floor was empty until it was crowded. There were go go dancers to make it interesting and a dance show which sucked that was not interesting. They have these weird dance reviews/ lip-syncing situations which are sort-of entertaining. The people are very skanky, not hot & classy. Its a good time if you get straight in, dont use your credit card to get drinks, decide your going to dance/ fend off butt-magnet-admirers, and come with good friends wanting to have Hollywood-Hollywood good time. Its very easy to hate the cheesy, sleazy, expensive, boring aspect though. Oh yeah- can't stand the "MC"/ lod guy yelling yeahh for no reason.
Couldn't Fake the Hype – The atmosphere was forced, the people weren't as "top-notch" as you would expect, and the drinks were super expensive, despite being served in plastic cups at one point. The management is incompetent and pretentious, adopting an undeserved sense of pride. To enjoy yourself you better bring along a good group; drinks will only get you so far. All in all, there are way better places to go, most that aren't entered through an alley...
this is exclusive??? – We were with a guy who knew the owner so we got in quickly. I don't know what I was expecting but once inside, I realized this place was like any other bar on Sunset, same crowd. I guess I was expecting more of a NYC "exclusive" vibe, not a frat party. Lot of the girls looked like porn stars. They have a hype man who yells into a microphone every now and then which was stupid annoying. The VIP area is a joke. Half the people were in the "VIP" area. I guess the best thing about it is that a lot of the girls looked like porn stars.
Go when there is a celeb party – It was me & my 2 male friends that ended up going on June 29th, a Wednesday. We attended that BenchWarmers party that was hosted by some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Getting in was easy because we were on the featured guest list. The music was good, but the bartenders were not. I recommend you pay cash, otherwise they want to hold on to your card & make you pay for a min of 3 drinks every time you go up.
