Wonderful experience – This place is the best. I do not understand why they are not always busy. I went here last night with two friends, one was celebrating a birthday. We had great food. Our server, Michael was the best, when you go ask for him to be your server. When you go you will want to go again, I will be going back. Everything was great. If you want a great meal, with a knowledge and great server who makes your experience so much better, then you need to come here.

Great Food and Atmosphere – Went here with some friends and had one of the best meals I have had in awhile. I had some sort of stuffed shells with cheese on top that was to die for. I have heard the menu changes daily, but I am not sure how much it varies. The atmosphere at Ballo is also very good and different with the disco ball, mobster movies, and 70s tunes. I recommend checking this place out.

Good Ambience and food – Like the service provided and the waiter Danny gave good recommendation. Nice ambience and the price is reasonable for the portion. I had a steak and 2 glasses of wine for around $50, and it came with a big serving of house salad.

The Best! – I have been there 3 times now and absolutely love it. blk & wht Scarface movies playing on flat screens all around the restaurant, music playing loud, people are laughing outloud and dancing in middle of restaurant...so much fun! I don't know if its great for a 1st date, but as far as dinner with friends, or before a fun night out, it is definitely perfect.

The crowd is always lookinng really nice.

On top of everything the staff is always really nice and making sure you are having a great time.

Ballo Restaurant – Service was slow, but food was excellent. Waitresses sometimes too preoccupied with getting tips from the single men, which slows down service - especially on Friday & Saturday night. Fridays & Saturdays music is a bit loud after 11pm, but you can still enjoy the GREAT FOOD!!

Lively music, a disco ball and "Godfather" movies create a upbeat vibe at this River North Italian restaurant. – The Scene
Speakers pulse '70s disco and techno tunes while a disco ball bounces colors off the dining room giving the restaurant a club-like feel. Diners--dressed from ultra-casual to fashion-conscious--sit at banquette tables along one wall, or at closely spaced tables in the center, taking in the action in the open kitchen or viewing gangster movies on flat-screen TVs. For couples seeking a more private experience, a disco ball-less dining room is to the left of the entrance.

The Food
The contemporary Italian menu changes daily, with pasta and seafood dishes prevailing. Entrees like linguine Vongole in a white wine sauce with baby clams and a sprinkling of chili flakes, are perfectly portioned for lighter appetites. Spicy pork chops get a kick from chili peppers and lemon--a la carte sides like baked tomatoes, escarole with beans or broccolini help temper the heat. Picture-perfect tiramisu is airy, creamy and lightly soaked with coffee liqueur.
