5 Bucks!!! – I take the family to Hi 5 all the time. We order multiple items and make it our own buffet table. The burgers are great and having my own TV in a booth works out great. Great food and drinks! Sports food and drinks!

TVs, tunes and a Las Vegas-style game room: Glenwood's hot spot draws in young, energetic crowds. – In Short
Dedicated to staying on top of trends, this Raleigh sports restaurant has become a buzz-worthy destination for drinking infused cocktails, dining on tapas and testing luck with Las Vegas-style games. Nightly tournaments of Texas Hold 'Em or blackjack cater to both experts and novices--participants play for prizes, not cash. Huge flat-screen TVs still rule the decor here, but music lovers are equally spoiled by the funky video jukebox.

Very Impressed with this Sports Bar! – First, I'll echo the last reviewer's sentiments. $5.00 bucks?! Special Draft beers (Good Ones -not just the likes of Miller/Bud/Coors) for $3? WOW! They have a lot (I believe over 200? ) beers on the menu. I too was also expecting really small plates, but the portions were more than adequate. My friend ordered the "Cheesy Poofs", which were very good, and I ordered the Fried Wontons w/ Crabmeat. Those were extremely delicous, and not over-fried like in most places. We proceeded to order Burgers - I had the Surf and Turf (Medium), and my friend ordered a Mushroom-Swiss(Medium) . Usually I don't like to mess up a burger w/ seafood, but this one was stacked with a Crabcake, and I love crabmeat. Not only were the burgers a really nice size, but the meat was excellent. They were done perfectly and tasted extremely good. One thng to note, that you do have to order sides alacarte. We ordered steak fries, that came piled up high like a perfect Jenga Tower, and were also seasoned perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality, service and price of the food. This place is so much better than other sports bars. The other places have the same generic menu. Let's not forget the the Sports is what makes a sports bar, and there was PLENTY of that around. Big screen LCD and Plasma TVs everywhere to pretty much view any sporting event desired. The staff was very courteous and took really good care of us.

The one strange thing that I noticed was that there weren't too many people in this place for a Friday evening. The waitress told me that they usually start hopping after 10:00 PM.

Very surprising for what they have to offer you.

All in all, the bill for 4 great beers (an IPA, a summer brew, Sam Adams and a Black and Tan), 2 apps, 2 speciality burgers and one side came out to a paltry $38.00.

This place is definitely a keeper !!

5 bucks!?!?!?! – The whole menu is $5. Everything. I thought the portions would be skimpy, but I could barely finish my burger! quality was excellent!

What a great idea for a bar!

smoky sports lovers haven – We had a wonderful waitress who was constantly checking to make sure we had all we needed. Our food was served quickly, and was very good for bar food. The entire place was very smoky, and we both left reeking of it. My hair, pants, shirt. . everything. There are many screens, so it was a great place to watch basketball. however, there were ZERO vegetarian options on the menu. Even their salads have meat on them. With a long list of burger options I expected at least a veggie burger or something. Parking was a bit difficult

Only go in Fall.... – I've been to Hi5 since it remodeled...much better than before. I went on Sat. a few weeks ago and had Fall (Autm) as my waitress. Super hot, super nice. My friends and I had a great time and have been back to see her since. She mentioned that she works every Saturday so we'll see her there tomorrow!

FANTASTIC!!!! – 240 Beers makes this The #1 place in the Triangle for beer selection! drink them all and you get 1/2 off your food for life! New American Tapas menu is great contrary to the previous Bogus review. Flat screen TV's at every table, Plasmas and big screens everywhere and a Sports lounge and private room that just flat out ROCKS. Specials include 1.50 cans of beer Sunday for Football Season, $8 all you can eat wings Monday, $3 everything behind the Bar Tuesday, buy 1 get one Apps on Wed., and Thursday is Raleigh's best ladies night with 1/2 price martinis and 1/2 off food for the ladies. The VJ music system is a blast BTW. Management, Staff and Ownership of Hi5 totally commited to providing their guests with a great experience!

Never again – If you're into blasting 80's music, cold apps, and bad service - the "all new" Hi5 is for you. While the place looks nice with the upgrades and the music system is modern, you can't overlook the fact that #1 - you CAN NOT hear anyone talking to you (you have to point to your order on the menu because the servers can't even hear), #2 the food is cold and bland, #3 the "wait-staff" is less than cordial. There are many other places downtown where you can enjoy an evening out while listening to good music and enjoying good food and drinks.

Best Place to Go in Downtown Raleigh – Everything is different; the food is now very high quality, their are over 200 beers on tap...these guys added an incredible vj music system. Perfect place for a private party! Now offering casino entertainment weekly. New hardwood floors have been added throughout as well as flat screens at every table. Still offers the dance club feel - just a cleaned up version...ladies who have gone seem to love this place because of the new dance floor area, the music and the ambience.
