Really Disappointed – I've always enjoyed the cocktails at Little Branch. Yes, the blocks of ice are huge, but I appreciate how they're crafted by hand. What I didn't appreciate, however, was our obnoxious waiter. Who knows what his problem was, but all I know is that I'll never go back.

Best cocktails in NY! – Just tell them your favorite spirits, mixers, tastes and they'll mix you up a cocktail based on that - they get it right every time!!!!

Good mood – I have only been once so I can only give 4 stars, but I liked it a lot. Nicely hidden door, so it doesn't attract drunk loud people. Small place but they don't let it get overcrowded, therefore, better to go on a week night to avoid a long wait outside. Good date place, dim lights, quiet so you can talk comfortably. The drinks are amazing, nicely presented and delicious. The bartender was helpful and friendly. I have been meaning to go back for awhile now.

best cocktails in town – Definitely a must if you are from out of town...no comparison to Milk n Honey, Pegu Club, Angel's Share, these cocktails are worth every penny!!

Horrible Attitude and Customers Treated Very Badly – I've gone to Little Branch off and on for years, and unfortunately, have witnessed its dramatic decline. The change has been so drastic that rumors of it changing hands have been passed around. I've witnessed it change from a classy, underground, chilled-out lounge with custom drinks and great music... to a frat-row, Wall St populated, shadow of a mid-town bar rife with snobs (customers and staff alike). My most recent (and officially last) visit culminated in the "staff" yelling at me. Here's the story: Went there on an empty Sunday night with friends. Sat at a booth, ordered, had drinks. While we were leaving, the waiter made a rude comment to one of my friends. When I asked the waiter why he had said that, he told me that our tip wasn't big enough. I was flabbergasted. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that the bartender, waiter and busboy WERE the manager (bad policy to not have someone to reign your staff in when they get out of control). I explained to them that if they expected a certain percentage of tip, they should include it in the ticket. They very loudly and rudely told me to leave, and on the way out, yelled insults at me. I've never been treated like that in even the grungiest bars in NYC, much less one that charges $12 flat rate for every cocktail. If the staff (and "manager", I guess) can't make a good hourly rate from a place that charges $12 per cocktail... If they feel the need to insult their customers for being a couple of dollars short of what THEY expected from the tip (not what the service was actually worth)... They should take it up with the owner, not take it out on the customers. If I was the owner (apparently still the same one that owns Milk and Honey), I would re-staff as soon as possible. Treating your patrons like this is always a big mistake... especially in economically hard times. I've recommended Little Branch to people before... never again.

What happened? – The old doorman was half the allure of this bar. He was brilliant, but now there is some Dbag who just kind of stands there and brings little to the table.

Great Service and Atmosphere. – I stopped by Little Branch late on a Sunday. There was no doorman. We breezed right in and were sat immediately. There was a great 3 piece band playing, which was a nice surprise. The ambiance was lovely. It definitely felt like a hidden gem! There drinks were quite reasonably priced! $12 for all their specialty drinks and for bartenders choice! I've paid $20 for specialty martinis many times before and not had the quality I had here. Our server was very patient and friendly with us, and ended up only charging us for 1 of our 2 drinks. (The second was non-alcoholic, but all the same!) I loved the atmosphere here and will return again and again!

Great Drinks, Trendy but Not Obnoxious, Relaxing Spot – Little Branch is one of those places that I'd never have tried if my friend didn't suggest it. The nearly unmarked on the corner of Leroy and 7th Ave door leads downstairs to a fairly small bar with only a handful of tables -- and sometimes it can take a while to procure one. My group of 4 got to LB around 11:30pm this past Saturday night... we waited on line for around 20 minutes, which was acceptable. I understood that this kind of bar isn't one where you want to be knocking elbows and rubbing against people just to use the restroom. LB does a great job of making sure its customers feel like they are being taken care of and feel comfortable. There's nothing worse (in my opinion) than a small, dark, crowded bar filled with guys groping women looking to get sloppy and hook up -- and I'm a guy so I know what I am talking about. LB is about having a drink, trying something new, and keeping yourself under control... in fact the back of the drink menus tell customers the proper way to enjoy a drink. You won't find people puk*ng in the bathrooms here (thank goodness). Anyway our group waited about a half hour for a table to open up, and then I tried a few drinks in the sweet variety... capirina to start, then two bartender's choice drinks, one of which contained apple brandy. I would never order a drink with apple brandy at a bar, and I never have in the past... but I told the waitress what kind of drink I wanted and she relayed that to the bartender, who created something great. I'll definitely head back to Little Branch to try some more interesting drinks and to relax with friends at a cool place. I'm really tired of following people I know to bars where the goal is to get drunk and pick up random girls. Little Branch is a lot better than those places, it's not packed inside, and it is low-key but still trendy. All that combined with excellent drinks makes for a great experience. (5 Stars if I didn't have to wait on line.)

Not so much ice please! – I went to Little Branch last night with two friends. We got there early (around 8pm) and easily got a table, which was great - as two hours later, there was a long line outside the door and only standing room at the bar. The atmosphere of the bar is okay, but the decor and low ceiling gives an extremely cramped feeling. I had hear through reviews that their drinks were above avergae but found them to be overpriced glasses of ice. I ordered one drink that had crushed ice and there was really not much room for the drink - WAY too much ice. For the price of the drinks, you would think you could get more alcohol.

One rock – Went there with a friend last night. Nice, cozy and a very knowledgeable bartender. I ordered whiskey on the rocks with a splash of water. He actually took the time to show me how much water he was pouring in so I could stop him as I saw fit. And it was with one rock. Great. Probably not the best place to go on weekends as it got sort of loud around 11pm. WIll try again during the week.
