Frustrated, Angry, Annoyed, Desperate! – Danielle and I entered into an agreement in March 2007. After alot of searching, she found exactly what I was looking for. After months of waiting on a sofa to be released, I had some of my furniture delivered 9/25/07. The delivery co had a wrong table and promised it the next week plus several custom made pieces were promised 9/28/07. So, I have my sofas and end tables but am missing my custom made ottoman, pillows and the matching sofa table. Additionally, one of the window treatments installed was incorrect and needs to be replaced. Most importantly, she has a watercolor that I had purchased that has extreme sentimental value. Here it is, almost 2 months later and I have not heard from Danielle since. Our last contact was an email 10/1 promising to be there that day or first thing the next morning. I have emailed and called almost daily at first. At this time, I am seeking legal action against her to resolve these outstanding issues. Danielle was very prompt and very courteous until the end of September. At that time, personal issues affected her professional performance. I was understanding at first but 50+ days of no communication is not acceptable. I have already filed a complaint with a local business organization but have not had a response to that either. I don't want to cause her any unnecessary pain but I just want my furniture. My room is half finished and I am at the end of my rope. The holidays are coming and I just want this to end!
1/17/08 - the nightmare continues. I had the delivery co show up at my door w/one of the missing pieces. It was unscheduled and COD! I finally heard from Danielle when I went to her home to retrieve my picture. She promised to deliver it in person and then emailed the day after the promised delivery and said the framer would UPS it. I got it today, no frame and from a UPS store in Marlton - not the framer!
here yesterday, gone today – Danielle has, overall done a nice job, in the beginning that is. She was very prompt and follow through was good in the beginning of our process. As time has gone on, she has become more difficult to get a hold of. When I finally did reach her, there was an excuse for her being out of touch which I felt was acceptable, however her disapperance act has happened again, and I am not the only one. I have several things that have been ordered, or so she states, and I cannot track her down. Multiple daily emails and phone messages do not change anything. I realize that things happen in life, however when you run a business and you are the owner, communication is key to your success, and right now Danielle is not running her business in a professional manner. She has been out of touch for two months. Products in the beginnning are great, but she has lost any type of referral from me for future references. If she contacts me and follows through with the rest of my orders, I will gladly explain her situation and update this as needed.
Excellent designer but currently MIA – Danielle is very personable, has great ideas, is very good at working within your budget. She did one project for us that came out spectactular. We had great communication throughout. I would recommend her to anyone. Or should I say I would have recommended her to anyone. She's recently been completely out of touch with regard to our current project. We made a deposit on work and materials but despite numerous e-mails and voice mails we have not heard from her in nearly 2 months (mid Aug. 08 - mid October 08). I will post an update when I have more information and/or our project is complete.
Go Slow; Think Twice – Danielle has great design skills, unfortunately, implementation of our bathroom reno fell short. Responsiveness, is NOT her strong suit. Multiple, multiple phone calls & emails need to be placed before getting a response from her. There's ALWAYS an excuse as to why she just getting back to you, but nothing changes. We are still awaiting a refund on tile (she ordered 3 times more than necessary)....it's been months, although told it would only a couple of weeks. The 'catch me if you can' cycle/game, gets pretty old quickly. Should the outstanding issues get resolved, I'll update this review appropriately.
12/12/07. We still haven't received our credit - she's been aware since February 2007. Since the system would not allow *NO* stars, she receives an undeserved 1 star.
She did not respond to a Better Business B complaint,
I was a bit disappointed to read the later reviews. It all sounds sooo familiar. I used to feel like some of the reviewers and have gone through the same frustrations. Despite the few good points, I would never consider working with her again. Almost a year to close a project is pretty ridiculous.
To the later/previous reviewers: hope you don't need a credit from Danielle; I'll forewarn you - it'll be the 'oh, you didn't get it' cycle. We've been hearing that since early Spring, 2007. Danielle Betz has proven herself to be untrustworthy.
***UPDATE*** We received a judgement against her and her company (BUR SC1323-XX) on 7/7/08. Ignore her last minute ploys to try to get you not to show up in court. Have all your proof. You'll still get a decision. Now working with courts to collect monies owed.
