Recommended – This place is a gem! I have seen the same manager there since couple of years ago and it is nice for my dog to come to a place that she is familiar with the people. I love that they have consistant customers so my dog is not afraid of going to the daycare.
The place is ALWAYS clean and I dont know how they do it, but I am really impress.
When I head out of town, it is a piece of mind that their boarding place is HUGE so she has room to move around even when she is down for the night. Take a tour of their daycare and boarding place and you will not see anything this nice in the city.
Wonderful establishment – This is truly a spa for dogs! My dogs come here for grooming all the time and I love all the people that work there. They know me and my dogs and always treat us nicely. I have seen the daycare rooms and the dogs seem to have lots of fun. They also have a retail section and the prices are phenomenal!
Nice place – I took my dog here for boarding and the place is exceptional! It is very large with lots of room for my dog to play and sleep in. The service was great, I was not able to use the webcam so they emailed me every day to let me know how much fun my dog was having. He had a great time and I would definitely recommend.
If you love your dog don't leave him here – I started using Happy Paws for boarding a couple of years ago and felt confident my dog was cared for as I only met animal loving individuals who seemed to take care of your dog in the same way you do. How the place has changed! I collected my dog from there for the last time this week and want to share my recent experience as they don't deserve the business.
A couple of hours after dropping him off I passed by to check him in the window only to see him caged and obviously thirsty. To see any animal like that is upsetting but when it is your own dog...anyway, I asked the "technicians" on the front desk about it. One rudely rolled her eyes and went off to see why he was getting "time out". When she came back she and the other girl had an argument about whether my dog was allowed to play with other dogs or not as he is not neutered. Then they gave me some tale of how sometimes he is kept downstairs alone...they couldn't say whether he was in a crate or just a room.I got the impression they didn't actually know how my dog was cared for. I felt just devastated but had a flight to catch and no choice but to leave him. I don't think it's reasonable to pay $50 a day to have your dog caged or isolated for 24hrs. It is definitely unacceptable to have two ignorant uncaring "technicians" on the front desk .
The dog has come back with Kennel Cough and his claws cut to the quick despite the fact I never requested the claws cut at all. That was the last straw for me.
If your dog is neutered and you have the choice make Happy Paws the LAST place to leave your dog.
Daycare – Great daycare and nice to know I can see my dog playing with other dogs. My dog comes here all the time and never wants to leave. She drags me in each time so I know she is happy to be there. Great prices for dog food as well.
Must recommend! – They are really clean and friendly at this place. I've taken my dogs elsewhere and most places are stinky and small. Happy Paws sleeping quarters are so large it really makes a difference bringing my dogs here because when they come back they do not stink and they do not seem stressed. I have used them for the past year many times and my dogs always look forward to staying there. Strongly recommend and you have to go to other places to compare to know the difference of how great this place is.
Fun Place for Pooches – Great variety of things to buy for my yorkie. She loves to come here and try all different clothing! I love their daycare because I get to see her play on the webcam. Their manager Allen is very patient and knowledgeable.
My dog is so sick he had to stay overnight at the VET! – This place is dirty and has awful customer service. My dog came home after staying there so sick that my vet was forced to admit him over night. Not only was my dog sick he was extremely sad and upset.
Besides the obviously unsanitary conditions of this place; the front desk is the worst I have ever experienced. They are rude; uneducated and not attentive at all. They barely answer questions and act annoyed at everything. I would never recommend this place for anything. The only pro is the location. I wish someone would buy this place gut it and actually have a good daycare with people that actually like animals.
A No GO – Took my 7 month old shitzu for a grooming @ this place and almost ended slapping one of the employees. There is just a lack of enthusiam in this place as well as manners. The problem betwen myself and the employees came about after i heard her slurring and mumbling some comments on y dont I just get a pair of scissors or something along with some profanity. This place is definately a no go, esp. if you care about tou dog. I can only imagine what goes on when the owners are not around...
Not so "happy" place – What a disappointment!!!! My fiance and I wanted to take our 4 month old puppy to the puppy kindergarten class at Happy Paws. When I spoke to them on the phone, they assured me my puppy had all the shots he needed to attend the class. When we got there, the manager we dealt with was beyond rude and disrespectful. I had the vet's paperwork to prove that he had all the shots he needed but because the vet hadnt checked off the specific shots, she wouldnt let us attend. It was clear in black and white that he had the shots he needed but she decided to be rude and difficult about the whole thing. Then to make matters worse when she told us he couldnt attend the puppy class, then she didnt want to refund me the $100 deposit I put down! She finally did but that was after much protest on my part. When my fiance asked her to explain exactly why we couldnt attend the class, she got nasty with him and slapped his hand when he wanted to take her picture for his records. The police had to be called and we had to file an assault record! It was an absolute horrible experience, one I don't wish on anyone. This manager was rude, unkind, unsympathetic, unreasonable, and violent to my fiance. No one should go to this horrible place!
