awful service for so so food and overpriced food – so so food and awful bad service.Very greedy and rude people. They will charge you more for what you see on the menu. Then they will say you rude things if you try to argue call u fat, or try to call 911. best is stay away for them. There are honestly many other better thai food places in the city where you can go. I honestly do not recommend this to anyone as food is really pricey and owner is really very greedy and rude.
Got ripped off in the end and got rotten food and insulted.
AWESOME – They definitely do not skimp on the spicyness (as restraunts tend to do when serving to americans). Im Indian so I need authentic and spicy food and they are fo' real. They always have new stuff and lots of vegetarian options ^^. They also serve tea in little tea cups with your meal.
good service, over priced, decent food – The restaurant is old, and feels a little dirty. The service was good....probably too good, the staff stood there watching me while I was eating..it kinda creeped me out! I had chicken curry, the chicken was a little dried out, and didn't taste fresh. Everything else was ok. The rice portion was small and not enough, I found I was charged for a second serving. Overall it was average, and nothing to write home about. Just being honest.
Unbelievable food and service! TRY IT! – The food and service here are top notch! The first time that we ever came here, about a year ago, we met the owner and she said that we had to order the roti canai and we have ordered it every time since. It's a fantastic mix of crispy and chewy homemade pancakey handkerchief bread that is unbelievable dipped in the curry chicken broth, it is NOT to be missed! We always order the beef rendang also (we have also ordered the chicken and lamb rendang -YUMMY as WELL) and the flavors are crazy with the meltingly tender spicy beef with cilantro and cucumber. It is like Malaysian pot roast only you will never look at your mama's pot roast the same way again! Try it, you'll never be the same. The chili chicken is almost greasless with spicy notes (not too spicy but they can make it more or less so to your liking) and fresh, crispy veggies with it. The wine, for $21/bottle is a serious steal that you cannot resist! The sate will make you forget about all of the other anemic sates that you have ever had. We tried dessert on the urging of the owner and it was phenomenal also! Shaved ice with coconut cream, red beans and green noodles was fantastic even though we were stuffed. Do not miss a chance to pick up some homemade (by the owner!) cookies right before you pay. The pineapple cookies are CRAZY good! The pineapple jam is homemade and not too sweet and the cookies are made from that jam and the best butter cookie dough that I've ever had. The food, the service - everything is just top notch! Go and just ask the owner to feed you, she knows what you need and what you'll LOVE.
Homemade food, made from scratch with love and patience, what else does anyone need. I could eat here everyday~!
Awesome food, great service, appealing atmosphere – My family is Malaysian, I've grown up eating a lot of Chinese and Malaysian food. While it's not quite the same as the street markets in Penang, I'd accept some subtle differences. The beef rendang is very good, the lamb curry special as well, though a bit pricey. Ice Kachang for dessert! This place is much better than the one on Buford Hwy. The service is friendly and usually prompt and the atmosphere is relaxed and exotic. We always order plenty so we can take the rest home.
Best curry, best noodles and very freindly people! – When you?re looking for a Gem of a restaurant, this one sparkles. The wait staff seems truly happy you?re there, and to be serving you. Generous portions, fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. The dining room is spotlessly clean. I?ve yet to find a restaurant to match the variety that their menu offers.
Great food and exceptional service. – This is one of the best places around for Curry and Thai. The service is very good and the portions are plentiful. I recommend either the Beef Rendang (Dry Curry), Sesame Chicken, or Thai Fried Rice, followed by Sticky Rice for desert.
Better than the original – We used to frequent the Buford highway location all the time, but with the openeing of the new restaurant and the move of some key staff to this new location, this restaurant has become our favorite restaurant.
The food is great, nice and spicy hot the way it should be and the portions are still huge.
Would highly recommend this restaurant even if you have to drive a couple of extra miles
