HORRIBLE CUSTOMER TREATMENT – The only reason I went to this place is because I had two $50 gift certificates. I called in advance to make sure they were still valid, and they said yes. When it came time to paying for the meal, they claimed they couldn't accept either one. The general manager thought he'd do me a favor by taking one. I explained to him my situation and told him i'd like to speak to the owner, to which he replied "Steve doesn't want to deal with this petty stuff. He's leaving soon." The general manager kept refusing to comply, and I said I go to the back myself. He beligerently told me right in my face that he'd kick me out of the restaurant so fast if I dared such a thing, then told his hostess to call the cops as a scare tactic. I said please do, after which he told his hostess not to call anymore! Anyway, long story short, they only accepted one of the certificates. I'm starting to think a lot of it was because my two friends were the only African Americans there. The food was average at best. I'd choose Nick & Sams, Pappas, or Three Forks over Steve Field's any day.

Please watch out, everyone, or they'll try to screw you over too.

We have become regulars – We frequent Steve Fields for many reasons but mainly the consistent food and service. We have not been there one time when the servers were not friendly and the food wasn't exceptional. The managers always say hello and Steve quite often comes by to say hello. Try the new Blue Crab fingers for a appetizer. I have told many of my friends about this place and they always report back to me with rave reviews. The lounge is pretty cool also.

Good food, atmosphere and service – My wife got to pick our 14th anniversary dinner location. What a great choice in choosing Steve Fields. The dining room was romantic and our server was exceptional. The server guided us through the menu and made some great reccomendations for the evening. The crab cake, lobster chowder, prime rib and key lime pie were all very good. We got to meet Steve (He seems very down to earth and is always smiling-the restaurant must be doing very well). My wife took me into the lounge where we listened to some great old time rock n roll for another hour before calling it a night.

I will tell all my buds about this neat restaurant in the center of Plano.

There Are Better – It was our anniversary dinner and we were told we had to try this place.

The steak was incredible - that much I'll give them

The baked potatoe was, well, a baked potatoe.

The lobster was the worst I've ever seen/had.

I will add that the manager was outstanding in resolving the lobster issue.

Service was mediocre.

Most amazing restaurant ever!! – I just voted for this restaurant in four categories because my husband and I just love this place. Every time we have dinner, it is better than the previous experience. The steaks and seafood dishes are always exactly the way we want them. The wine selections are good and they have a chocolate martini to die for. We always get a dessert and take have home to the kids. The lounge is now smoke free so we found ourselves sitting at the piano the other night singing with the piano man.

I tell all my friends about this place and they always call and tell me thanks after going there.

Great Steakhouse – Steve still wows them. Great atmosphere, service, and of course food. Steve visits every table and the steaks are off the hook no pun intended. The piano bar is no longer a secret and is crowded but tis restaurant performs night after night.

Great food, great service – The price is not cheap, but you get more than what you pay for. Food's great and the waiter's very professional.

Absolutely, positively Fantastic!!! – My fiance and I had heard great things about Steve Fields but had not gotten the chance to go until lastnight. WOW!!! What a treat to be able to go to a nice, romantic restaurant where the food and service are both absolute perfection. The steak - so TENDER and one of the best we've ever had by far. I recommend the Chef's Filet and the Blue Cheese Filet - so YUMMY. :) Everything was just perfect, and we will definitely return. This is a super place to take a date - very romantic - and the lounge has live piano music and it's definitely a fun part of the restaurant as well. LOVED IT!!!

Best Steak & Lobster around! – Amazing food. We have now been to Steve Field's twice, and the second time was just as good as the first. The blue cheese topped Filet is the best steak we have ever eaten, and the lobster is phenominal. The 3 cheese french onion soup and lobster and corn chowder are great starters. Make sure you leave room for dessert. The 5-layer chocolate cake and cheese cake with chocolate crumb crust and raspberry sauce is definately worth waiting for!

More than a "Steakhouse" – We arrived a bit early so we went into the Lounge and met some great people and heard some fun music from the piano player. The atmosphere was fun and energetic with good drinks and friendly staff.

We sat by a huge Wine Wall in the main dining room and really enjoyed the food and hospitable service. Reasonably priced and very romantic.

My husband got lobster tails and I had a wonderful grilled salmon. We split a "to die for" piece of chocolate cheesecake.

I would highly reccomend this restaurant and will return very soon.
