So-so dining experience – Overall, I would have to say that this place was average, with some good and some poor qualities. The waitstaff was excellent, but the waiter himself made rare appearances which delayed refills on cocktails and dessert selections. The seared ahi appetizer was not "seared", it was fully cooked and the seafood tower did not include the large shrimp as advertised. The 4 onion soup was luke-warm, but tasty. The veal was well prepared, but my steak was extremely dry. The desserts were outstanding. The prices were competitive but not outrageous. I would go again if I was staying at the hotel, but probably would not go out of my way to visit the restaurant from home (we are locals and stayed at the Orleans for a graduation).
Nice Steakhouse – When in Vegas we go to the Orleans pretty often and we finally "discovered" this place. The decor is nice and the food is good. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the steak and we enjoyed our meals.
A Great Escape – Canal Street was a nice break from the strip and the meal was enjoyed by all of us. I had the French Onion soup, we all had the house salad with Beef Filet of Oscar. Our friend had the Creme Brulee and Husband and I shared the White Chocolate Cheesecake. We were seated promptly, and the service was great. The prices are very reasonable. I would not hesitate to include Canal Street into our future plans.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Hand-cut steaks, chops, fish, lobster, surf-and-turf and more served fireside in the Orleans Hotel and Casino.
