Hamburger Mary's is quite the experience. The toppings in the burgers is what you should aim for. Also, tots. Always tots.

Music's too loud! – The food here is ok, great place to people watch. I ordered tea and the water was not steaming hot. When I said something to the waiter, he was like, there's nothing I can do to make it hotter, and you should drink it faster!!! Helloooo, isn't heat a critical element of a restaurant's operation?
The music is played too loud and the wait staff have an attitude when you ask them to turn it down. I went there with a friend on a Sunday afternoon and could not have a decent conversation because the music was too loud and there was a large group of patrons who were screeching to every word of a song by Aretha Franklin. I eventually had to sit right next to my friend in order to have a conversation. And yes, it is a gay hangout so if one is uncomfortable with that they should steer clear. It didn't bother me as I enjoy people watching:))
Nice & attractive bar! – I met up with friends at HAMBURGER MARY'S on a Saturday night and it was packed! Good sign! We then went upstairs to their new bar I believe called MARY'S ATTIC. Talk about totally packed which was great! The music was very dance techno which I love but a bit too loud. Great looking crowd of gay men and unfortunately no women. The decor was cool!
Andersonville's gay community embraces this funky burger joint that pays homage to beef, techno and cabaret. – The Scene
Making a bold statement with cabaret colors, this gay-friendly burger bar lives up to its reputation of kitschy, casual dining. Posters are hung sideways, and receipts are returned to customers in sassy stilettos. Large booths hug the front windows, while a mix of circular tables fill in the space between the entrance and the back bar. RuPaul videos share TV time with Brandy and Lindsay Lohan. Service is friendly, efficient and timely.
Appetizers, burgers and cold and hot sandwiches may bear flashy monikers like "Buffy (The Hamburger Slayer)," and "Her Hot Legs," and dishes don't stray too far from the predictable. Worthy starters include golden brown chicken tenders and stuffed olives and jalapeno poppers served in a martini glass. Teriyaki flavoring and pineapple sweeten the half-pound Big Kahuna Burger; crispy bacon, grilled onions, cheddar and jack cheeses are sinful, welcome additions to the Queen Mary patty.
