Disappointing and pricey – This is a busy, nicely decorated Japanese/Sushi restaurant. I am an aficionado of sushi and in Atlanta every Japanese/Sushi I try is compared to the best I have yet found - Sushi Yoshi (Norcross). The Miso Soup was good (not great) and the house salad small. Excellent was the tempura red snapper that was served as a welcome snack. Kani House's prices are 40% higher that what I pay for sushi/sashimi at Sushi Yoshi and though the portion of fish were large, the quality of was inferior: the salmon was not firm but slightly soft and it had a noticeable grainy texture. I had seven orders of sushi (no drinks) and I paid $33 + tip. Expensive for what I got

Don't do it - too many other good choices right there! – Hungry after much shopping we decided on Kani House - what a mistake!!

We were very unimpressed with the food, the sushi was awful and the entress did not even measure up to fast food! the prices are a bit high for the product received.

Service was minimal and the restaurant had a dirty feel, our table and menus were sticky!

We will never go there again, perhaps the empty parking lot should have clued us in!!

The worst sushi I have ever eaten!!!! I ordered a sushi combo roll. The lady over charged me on an order that was already over priced. I will never go back

Really bad service – I went there twice. The first time I actually liked it. The service was good, house rolls were wonderful, and I loved the eel.

But the second time was unbelievably bad. Slow inattentive service. Could not get the waiters to come to our table, and the restaurant was almost empty. They forgot to take the house roll out of the oven (I think it is supposed to be get warmed up for a few minutes; it was sitting there for half an hour).

Don't ever want to go there again!

Like a Factory assembly line with the chefs – Typical Mall area "Japanese" like steakhouse. The food wasn't that good. The fried rice was salty. I can't imagine how people would ever come back to this place. They tried to be "service" oriented but failed. I love japanese food and this is far from being close. oh well, thats what one gets for driving out to the Mall out in the country.

Great Experience! – My wife and I went here for dinner. We did the hibachi dinner and had some sushi for an appetizer. The food was excellent. The chef and service were good also. I would recommend Kani for anyone who enjoys Japanese food.

Birthday dinner – I was taken here for my birthday on May 7th. It was okay; however, I truly enjoy Benihanna better.

The chef was great. I will try Kani House again though.

not so great – I was just passing by Mall of GA and decide to stop by for dinner. The service was fine, but hibachi food was not as I expected. The guy did great performance, but overall...the food really had no taste. Steak was flavorless, even with teriyaki sauce, salmon very salty and still flavorless. Fried rice was plain. Would not go back.

Japanese steak and sushi house dishing up fresh bites in festive surroundings. – In Short
A massive menu of Japanese staples draws adventurous diners in droves. Starters range from miso soup to pan-fried gyoza and crunchy spring rolls. Popular meal selections include hibachi filet mignon, vegetable tempura and teriyaki chicken. The sushi menu brims with ebi and suzuki nigiri, tuna nori maki, avocado rolls and golden bridge rolls, a spicy tuna number with cream cheese wrapped in massago with unagi and avocado on top.
