Amazing – Antonio gave me the best highlights of my life and a great cut! I love that he only treated the roots (mine were WAY grown out) and thus minimized additional damage to my hair. We agreed to loose the bottom 3 to 4 inches of "haystack" that had seen years and years of highlights. Now my hair feels like silk, something that I had been trying in vain to achieve with every conditioner on the market!
I genuinely had a good time talking to him, he really is the complete package.
Absolutely the BEST in Santa Fe! – Antonio has cut and colored my hair for several years now. He understands the unique problems of New Mexico's harsh problems: bad water, no humidity and harsh sunlight. I have always insisted on the best for my hair--Antonio's ability matches any hairstylist that I have known ANYWHERE.
useless – color looked worse going out than going in. terribly old-fashioned haircut - when I told him, he just said that with my hair, there was no other option.
My Hero - He fixed a bad cut and color – I had gone to a couple of chain salons and got two really bad cuts in a row. The "straight" cut was at a 30 degree angle. That was after I went back to them and got it "fixed". But after letting it grow out some, I went to Antonio and he corrected the cut, and did fabulous highlights too. I get lots of compliments on my hair since Antonio fixed it right. Thank you Antonio!!!
One word...FABULOUS!!! – As a recent transplant to Santa Fe, I needed an emergency hair cut for a last minute job interview. I called Antonio who was able to fit me in the next day. I was a little nervous because I wanted to cut my hair from a shoulder length bob to a short, fun style. As many of you know, it is hard to trust a regular, proven hair stylist with this type of transition. Antonio made me to feel immediately at home in his studio. He listened to my idea and made it even better! In addition, he made me laugh the entire time with his witty sense of humor. This guy is talented and hilarious. It is very obvious that he takes a lot of pride in his artistry and customer service. I would recommend Antonio to all of my closest friends and family, or anyone who is looking for a terrific stylist!
Thank you, Antonio!!!
Antonio is the Best in Santa Fe – I have been going to Antonio's for more years than he or I would like to remember. The cut is always great and so is the color. He has fixed mistakes I have made trying (stupidly) to do it myself. His prices are reasonable and he doesn't overbook. He is professional and also a nice guy - a rare combination. I cannot imagine going to anyone else in Santa Fe for competent, personal service, and seeing his gorgeous garden every time is a bonus.
AWFUL!!!!!!!!!WORST CUT EVER!! – I dont even know where to start!!!! I am VERY used to high end haircuts, I recently moved to Santa fe and so far have been very dissapointed with the hairstylist here. I ran across the website and thought he would be very good according to what his website said. WOW was I in for a suprise!! All I wanted was for him to clean up my hair since I was growing it out but what I left with was chunky layers as short as to my freaking EARS!!!!! It looks so awful im flying to scottsdale to see my bff's hairstylist so he can fix my UNEVEN wacked hair. I didnt notice it as much in the salon bc he didnt even style it after the cut!! so i thought maybe i just needed to go home and style it and it would look better. I literally cried when i went home and got a better look. It looks so bad, im serously considering hair extensions. i dont know how he has gotten good reviews. When i was watcing him cut my hair it almost seemed like he didnt know what he was doing. DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! I am so upset!
Satisfaction Guaranteed! – Wow, I have to say, Mejudge, that I don't understand your review at all. This positively, absolutely does not sound like any experience I've ever had at Antonio's. I've been going to Antonio since I moved to Santa Fe six years ago and decided it was finally time I got on here to write a review and to my shock I read this seriously negative review! Like one of the other folks said, he does a superb job with red on graying hair - the BEST! I decided to quit coloring my hair and Antonio helped me "go natural" (gray) "painlessly". But really, he's the best colorist and his cuts are always just right on. Antonio knows what he's doing and he's very careful to discuss the color, the cut, the products carefully before working on your hair. I wouldn't go to anyone else.
BEST IN SANTA FE – I was appalled to see this bogus review, I called Antonio and asked him about this he said I was there the day she left, I looked on my calendar and remembered this woman. She said her name was Lynn Keller. I feel bad that this person did not give Antonio more to work with or to give him the verbal conversation required to receive what you want.
I have been going to Antonio?s for over nine years and have always received nothing but the best!!!
Sorry Lynn Keller.
Not Recommended – I was very disappointed with the cut and color/toner. I started out with a consultation at Antonio's, and it was agreed that I should get a trim, tapered sides, and "clean up the bangs" so I could let them grow out. I was also open to any hair color of his choosing, as I really wanted a change. Four days later, my appointment finally arrived. When I got there I expressed my excitement, but Antonio said "don't be, it won't be that much different." I should have left then. Instead, I arrived at Antonio's with dark roots, knowing that he was going to add color, so I thought. At my consultation, he told me he would add toner and it would take out the "yellow" in my hair and give it a nice butterscotch tone. Sounded good, but I had no idea that it wouldn't cover the roots. I don't know the difference between toner and color, and I told him that at my consultation. Had I known, had he told me at the consultation, I would have re-colored my hair prior to my appointment. But the end result was a nicer tone with dark roots. Not much different than when I walked in, really. When I asked how long the new tone would last, he said he didn't know; it was new. I felt like I wasted my money. And the cut, well, forget the tapered sides and the "clean up the bangs. All he did was comb my wet hair to the middle of my back and snip off two inches. That was it. Not much different than when I walked in, really. It was the worst $100 I ever spent. Four days later, I went to another local salon and had my hair re-cut. It turned out fabulous. And I will be returning to my new salon in a week for a real professional color. I didn't find any expertise at Antonio's. I was deeply disappointed. His website sounds great, but in reality, it just didn't work. Sorry Antonio.
