In summer, snag one of the outdoor tables at this beloved West Village Malaysian-influenced joint. Helmed by Zak Pelaccio who lived in Malaysia, it churns out deliciously-spiced, flavorful entrees like Malaysian duck, nasi goreng and fried fish.

If I had the cash, I would award this place with a gold metal for most delicious Asian fusion in the West Village. With a name like this, you best be trumping everyone else.

Intense, spicy flavors, loud music, and a rocking young crowd mark Zak Pelaccio's enormously successful Malaysian joint, whose cooking is much sharper than it may seem.

One of my favorite malaysian inspired restaurants – The place is cozy and warm. The music is killer. The food is to die for. The watermelon and porkbelly salad is my favorite.

This place is so bad ......... avoid – There is nothing Malaysian about this place. Unrecognisable food and over priced. What were the food critics thinking when they wrote nice things about Fatty Crab? Did they go somewhere else? Have they had Malaysian food before?

Paying Up The Wazoo For Fun Sized Food – I never go on city search, but I spent over $80 on bite sized food and I'm pissed. After looking at the menu and being assured by the hostess that the food was "exceptionally yummy", I waited 20 minutes to be seated with my wife. I got an outdoor table, which was fine. I got the recession special, a shot of whiskey, a PBR beer and spicy pickle juice.

So, I order the steamed veggie buns-what a joke! Really? Did I pay $13 for 2 small sliders that took two bites to eat? I could've went to White Castle and saved a load of money! I saw an entree at another table, so I thought-ok, surely our entrees will be bigger. I ordered the chicken claypot and the baby bok choy. It tasted great, but what the hell? It was only a small serving each. Between my wife and I, we both left hungry!

Save your $! You can get a better deal in Chinatown anytime. What a joke-how are they in business?

a taste bud explosion – if you are a fan of pork then a must try would be the watermelon and pork belly slices and and steamed pancake with pork patty.

the wonton stuffed with pork and shimp with fried noodles were delicious but the soup was a little too spicy for me.

Overall it was an amazing experience. Great staff friendly atmosphere, and the music was kept to the city by the compliments of the Black Album by Jay Z.

Delicious but pricey – Great food. Thought watermelon, pickles, and pork belly was a weird combo but proved to be delicious. Like the other reviews mentioned, chili crab with the sauce will make you forget the damage it did to your wallet. Citysearch should upgrade this place to $$$.

Fatty Crab is wonderful! – This was a great meal with very good food and service. I'd heard about it for a long time and only just tried it. Everything we ordered was good - particularly the Fatty Duck and the mini sliders. Would highly recommend!

Where have you been? – It still baffles me that people complain about the size restrictions of the OFC. Their new spot is whatever, the food's fine but who the hell would want to eat dinner on the UWS, anyway? And for all the scene-sters or clueless people out there. Why don't you try this place when it's not jampacked? Like for lunch or early bird specials with the elderly.

Way too crowded!!! – I had to sit with my girlfriend in the middle of the place. We had elbows bumping into us and other guests hovering over us as we ate our food. I don't care how good the food is, no one should be subject to that kind of service. If I'm spending my money i expect to eat in comfort!

Great Food / Pricey – Good quality food, great Asian taste. Hip staff. Pricier than Citysearch suggests. Crab was $42, which is twice the price of crab in Chinatown. The sauce with the crab is almost worth the price in itself. I'll be back for more!
