Diverse Friday Nights – Friday nights are great here. There is definitely an interesting mix of folks here, and thats what makes it so great. With the cinemax style porn on the big screen you definitely will not be bored.
Nice Bar but Beware of Raggedy Anne!!! – The bar was packed with a really nice mixed crowd. Everyone was hype and having a good time. My friends and I were also having a good time just drinking the night away. I typically like going to the same bartender but this night I shouldn't have. I ran out of cash and went to the bar to get a drink for a friend and only had exact change. So the bartender who I have been tipping all night(good tips at that) tells me that I cannot get a drink unless I tip her. She also told me that I have to tip her. I try to explain to her that I'm out of cash and that I have been tipping her the whole night. She doesn't care to listen, and all she tells me is that I have to tip her. So I tell her don't worry about it just give me my money back and I will go elsewhere. She refuses to give me my money back and pushes the drink towards me almost spilling it and says "GO", as if I were a dog or a child. This was by far the worst service I have ever had at a bar. The rest of the night I just paid with my card and tipped the more polite bartenders. If you ever decide to go here watch out for the semi-fat white chick with short hair that wears the bandana and raggedy clothes. She will completely blow or ruin your night. All in all I had a good time. If your ever in East Atlanta you should stop by but beware of Raggedy Anne.
Best Hangout in East Atlanta! – OK, this is where you want to be in East Atlanta -- if you have a group of people and want to slide into a big booth (and get there early, people!) this is the place - drinks are cheap and strong, service staff is super cute and friendly, and the food is amazing -- I had no idea they had a real chef and awesome food! I had the Gravedigger (a HUGE hamburger) and it was killer! It gets a little too crowded on Friday and Saturday after 11pm, so go on a week night or early on Friday or Saturday. But go! And make friends with the staff, they will take good care of you!
GREAT PLACE ROTTEN SERVICE – I live close by, I want to like this place, however a party of 6 sat in a booth right next to the wait stand, and NEVER had anyone take a drink order, foor, nothing. We weren't even noticed. After several trips to the bar for drinks with very rude, put out and they really didn't have any business in a good time industry, we ended up going to Glenwood 100 yards up the street. Im sorry I spent my birthday there. This is at least the 4 or 5th time at this place, and always had bad sevice.
great food. cheap drinks. good people. – awesome staff. the food is amazing for it being a bar. they throw the best parties and offer great drink specials. The regulars are down to earth and the tattoos and style make the whole experience enjoyable!
good east atlanta bar – I have never experienced the problems i see written in these other reviews. I've always had good service from a diverse bunch of waitresses. Everyone seems very friendly. A good relaxed atmosphere without that "we're so hip" attitude i see in the other bars in the neighborhood. Grab a couch if they aren't already taken and relax. My only complaint has been waiting to pay my tab which can be a little annoying.
Single night-owls, we found your match. – In Short
Looking like a scene that could have been in a Taratino movie, Graveyard Tavern is heaven for hipsters. Vintage couches and impromptu photo booths pair nicely with cheap tallboys of Schlitz and sets from up-and-coming bands or established DJ’s. A singley-minley crowd of youthful 20-somethings dominates the night time hours, but the bar still serves as a decent place to grab a pint and a bite in the early evening. The menu is lengthy and well thought-out -- typical bar staples (wings, burgers) are paired with a few more elegant dishes (crab cakes, arugula salad, pan-seared salmon) -- for a variety of pallets. Being one of the few spots East of I-20 to that boasts pool tables, bar-goers have both that and a primo jukebox for low-rent entertainment. Head over early and have the cool vintage bar to yourself, or head over late when the place is hopping with singles looking to dance. It’s tough to beat either way.
Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else. – I tried this place with some friends on a Friday night and was very disappointed. The waitress took forever to bring our drinks, so we decided to try to the bar - and waited even longer. Fortunately, there were several other places within walking distance, so we did just that.. Don't bother wasting your time or money!! Go somewhere else.
great place – they've got something for everyone, drinks, food, dancing, UFC etc. I love going there..... it's right next to the gravity pub too, so I normally bounce back and forth between the two which ends up making it a perfectly balanced bar night
bad service – The first time i went to the graveyard i had high hopes. but it seems every time i go back hoping things will be better its only a bigger dissappointment than the time before. The service is terrible, the waitresses seem to be more concerned about the way they look than giving me my drink in a timely fasion. I have also tried to aviod the situation by sitting at the bar, the big problem with the bar is that my drink is servred to me by some ahole from new york who thinks he's still in new york.. something needs to change. ill stick to the other bars in the village
