LOVED THIS PLACE – Ninja was one of the most interesting dinning experiences I have ever had. The food was okay, but it was more of the ninjas and atmosphere that was worth the money. Me and my friends stayed there for 4 hours, laughing, drinking, and having a great time with the staff. Our bill was kind of high but this is definatly a place to go to atleast once in your life to experience!!!! Will return to eat there again.

Didn't like at all – Was very surprised and very disappointed. Food was over priced and bad, didn’t taste good at all. We had a big party and were able to try almost everything. Steak was dry and over cook. We had one vegetarian person and we asked if they can make a special dish of salmon in teriyaki sauce (we called ahead and asked if they can do it, and of cause they said yes) - well, first it came salmon in one dish and teriyaki in the other, and when we asked them if they actually can cook it together, the waiter came back with same dish with the sauce just pored over the fish - it was disgusting.

Food presentation was poor. Service was poor and there was NO show. Well, some ninja came in and did some trick with the deck of cards - I still not sure what it had to do with ninja.

Overall, it was not just bad, it was TERRIBLE. For the money we paid we could have dinner in a 5 start restaurant.

Annoying, Overpriced – If you looking for a quet relaxing evening with some authentic sushi involved - don't step a foot into this place. You will not be able to hold a conversation, cause annoying staff will bother you with their not so relaxing intrusions. Scaring and annoying clients is their job description. Food was ok, but nothing special. I will not put up with the abuse for their food.

Bad beyond belief – This restaurant is really terrible. Seriously, go to any other restaurant in Manhattan and you will have better food and a more fun. SPOILER ALERT! A ninja will scare you as you get out of the elevator! I assumed that a theme restaurant would be pretty bad, but you have no idea how bad this place is. Yes, the food is terrible and it is ridiculously overpriced. Don’t be fooled by the nice Tribeca location. You might be thinking, “Hey, Ninja’s are cool!” Not these ninjas. These ninjas, are annoying and patronizing. They don’t shut up. If the ninjas were quietly sneaking around – and you were like, “whoa! That ninja just appeared silently out of the shadows with the appetizer I ordered,” that would be cool. But actually these ninjas are terrible wait staff. When you actually get your nasty food, don’t expect to be able to sit and enjoy it because a different annoying ninja comes in every five minutes to tell awkward jokes or perform a magic show. By the end of the dinner I felt a combination of rage and pity for these ninjas. Mostly rage. If one of your friends suggests this restaurant, politely decline. If your company has an outing to this place, I suggest you fake an illness. If you are thinking of taking a date here, you are most likely from New Jersey. But still, don’t do it.

Entertaining theme restaurant – Ninja is one of the funniest restaurants in NYC. It has ninjas hiding in dark places scaring you whenever you go (excluding the bathrooms).

The food was excellent but pricey. We got the set menu and they cost an arm and a leg but I think once a while for special occasion it is totally worth it. I couldn't even finish my entree and pack the whole thing to go.

Our waiters were very attentive and friendly. We felt pampered and scared at the same time lol

I really like the rib eye steak, the miso-flavored salmon and their dessert, bon sai tree and ninja star.

Another item on my bucket list crossed out!

Mediocre Food, It's only value are the waiters/ninjas – If you're looking for a good show while eating, this is the place to go. Where the ninjas pop up and startle you. There are ninjas who do magic card tricks, these are the street tricks that will amaze you, that require minimal involvement, and you truly know that they are not pre planned.

I would advise you to avoid this place if you are likely to have a heart attack, the shocks and startling that the ninjas provide are not for the weak of heart.

The food however is sub par. There is nothing special aside from presentation, with a few parlor tricks of smoke to a shiny sword in your food (that you don't even get to keep!).

Go only if you have money to throw around, not for a good eat.

disappointing and poorly executed novelty and total rip off – Like visiting 'pretend santa's' grotto - the totally lame 'nijas' couldn't be bothered to get into the spirit of what the restaurant was trading on to justify the hugely inflated prices - and our hIgh spirits of anticipation were quickly deflated by the low standards. Bad value and patronising attitude of staff left bad after taste. It was less of was more like them shooting fish in a barrel - than fair combat. We were ambushed.

Great Night Out – I went with fellow grad students/friends to celebrate the end of a tough semester and we had a blast. The decor was amazing and really felt like a different world from the city streets. The servers are all ninjas who jump out at you and surprise you with swords. The ninja art dishes turned the meal into a performance piece and everything we had was fabulous. Only con is the cost, while the sushi is reasonably priced the main entrees are a little steep. Would recommend if you just want to do something fun.
