Cozy place to hang out with friends, good waitress service on fridays – Ive been to Vesta a handful of times. I started going on Fridays with a group of about 10 people. The place itself is small, but cozy. It has 2 floors but usually only 1 floor would be open when we went. Weorder a few bottles each time and the waitress (Sammie) always took care of us and remembered which bottles and juices we preferred before we even ordered. I have never received such good waitress service at any other club, which is why we keep coming back. My girlfriend and her friends are very picky about service but they adored the waitress and although the crowd was not all that great, they always enjoy their time. The past 2 times we went there were on a Saturday and there were more people there, but our waitress was different and her service was awful. When you're spending nearly a grand each time for bottles you would think that the waitress would check from time to time to make sure you're ok--but nope! And there were never more than 2 other tables taken so it wasn't even busy. We definitely will only be coming back on fridays. The bartenders seem friendly also but I wouldn't be able to rate their quality of service because we just drink from our table. One con is that there are only 2 single bathrooms so be prepared to wait!
bad place to go to – I went there this past friday night (the 17th) and I was VERY disapointed.
First of all....I have no idea where they got those pictures from that's on their website. But the place DOES NOT look that way. The place looks like a broken down flat and it was small. It is a huge asian crowd. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I didnt expect that. And people were dressed anyway they wanted.
The music was good although the dj played quite a few songs over and over and over again.
Great music by the djs..great crowd – this place had the best music, the dj was pumping it like never before heard. i had a blast at this place for my birthday. they gave me a birthday cake and a bottle of champagne for my birthday, served to me by the hottest waitress, i thought in the world. i will definitely go back again. the gogo dancers were friendly as well..great place. i love it!!!!
DO NOT GO!! – Probably one of the top worst places I've been to. If you can't stand very young and very immature people stay away! The Minimum age is now 18! VERY immature guys head out here trying SO desperately to hook up with girls. VERY heavy Asian population and the music was horrendous. Guys would be grinding girls up against the wall and PUSH violently back at people dancing near our around them. The staff are very rude and the bar tenders have no idea what the prices for their drinks are. Some will charge you $10 and you go to next bartender for the same drink and they will charge you $12!! This place was literally a sausage fest that the bouncers were desperate in getting what ever girls they can to bring them in. Once your in the guys are so desperate for woman that they begin to grab you and try to literally DRAG you to the dance floor. For girls there was a $10 cover charge and be aware that if they feel like its a warm night like last night it was 55 degrees (to me thats cold) they won't provide coat check! Also if your planning to throw a party downstairs IT WONT BE PRIVATE! They could care less who enters your "private" downstairs event. They don't check anybody for that "special stamp" to verify if you were invited or not. Guys if the place gets too crowded they will start to enforce being 21 to get in GUEST LIST OR NOT (only for guys)!! So many guys were left outside and told that suddenly they had to be 21 and over to get in leaving a lot of guys left mad. Even the birthday girl went outside to explain that they were invited. She was told to stop blocking the entrance and to stop telling them what to do! RUDE! Final note...DON"T GO!!! Make an effort to go somewhere else.
UGGHHH!!! – This place sucked! The music was awful, the crowd was not diverse at all, heavy asian population, drinks were weak, and the dance floor was full of people who couldn't dance at all and had no consideration for others, and lame guys posted on the walls! DO NOT GO!!
AWFUL PLACE – I'm going to make this short and sweet.
VESTA= PRETTY PLACE, PRETTY BARTENDERS, TERRIBLE SERVICE.
1. E-mails stated that the OPEN BAR option included shots. When we got there and paid, we asked for shots... we were told that shots were not included. ONLY BEER AND WINE
2. Beer was WARM, Bartenders did not know anything!
3. Place flat out STINKS. it was 50 degrees outside, THEY WERE BLASTING THE HEAT WHILE EVERYONE WAS DANCING. IT WAS LIKE A CAN OF SARDINES IN THE HOT SUMMER DAY
IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO WASTE UR MONEY AND NOT HAVE A GOOD TIME... GO TO VESTA.
I WOULD RATHER BUY A BOTTLE OF LIQUOR AND SIT NEXT TO A NEW YORK BUM IN CANAL STREET RATHER THAN GOIN TO VESTA AGAIN.
terrible experience – I was planning to have a good time on my birthday. I started planning and looking for a good club to have it at. I emailed various clubs and managers and vesta was responsded quickly and had a promising venue. Dave Cheng sold the idea of this venue very well. He offered a very good open bar deal which consisted of free beer and even shots. So I decided to celebrate my birthday at vesta. BIG MISTAKE. Here I'll list why I will never return here and recommend everyone not to. 1. As i said I was promised an open bar deal and i didn't get it. When I got there, I order shots and everyone there was clueless and said only beer and wine were included. If i wanted 35 dollars worth of beer, I would've went to the liquor store and payed for it myself. 2. The beer wasn't even cold. I asked for a budlight , the idiotic bartender said they didn't have any. I turn around and a guy has one. 3. Dont let the pictuers fool you. The place needs renovations and smelled really bad. 4. The dancers were OK, until they started complaining about everything. And the photographers occupied a lot of the dance floor just to take pictures of them. It looks like vesta is more concerned their image rather than the quality of their establishment. The music was good for an hour or two. All in all, every worker needs some training. They need to know what their policies are and not to go back on their promises. This club isn't at all what it is hyped up to be.
BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY OR HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH SOME FRIENDS, VESTA IS THE WORST CHOICE. I HATE TO SAY THIS BECAUSE DAVE CHENG WAS VERY HELPFUL.
A PLACE NOT FOR ALL KIND – I WENT TO SUPPORT FRIENDS OF MINE YESTERDAY AT AN EVENT, & I DIDN'T FEEL WELCOMED AT ALL. I CAN NAME A 100 REASONS WHY THIS CLUB SHOULD NOT BE RECOMMENDED, BUT I WILL ONLY NAME A FEW. I HAVE BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY AS A BARTENDER, SERVER, COCKTAIL WAITRESS, & HOSTESS FOR SEVERAL YEARS SO I KNOW WHAT ENTAILS GOOD SERVICE. 1.(CROWD)- IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE THAT NEEDS RENOVATION & HAS A CROWD OF MOSTLY 21 YEAR OLDS WITH SNEAKERS, THIS MAY BE THE PLACE FOR YOU. 2. (ENTRY)- WE WERE TOLD THAT WE COULDN'T GO INTO THE CLUB BECAUSE THE BARTENDER STILL HAD TO SET UP THE BAR. THE CLUB SHOULD HAVE BEEN OPEN BY THE TIME WE GOT THERE SO WE HAD TO STAND IN THE COLD. 3.(BARTENDERS) -THE GIRLS WERE CUTE, BUT INCOMPETENT AND NOT INTELLIGENT. THE CLUB WAS SUPPOSED TO HONOR AN OPEN BAR PROMOTION FOR A FEW HOURS & NONE OF THE BARTENDERS WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE PROMOTIONS ON THE FLYER. WELL DRINKS WERE FREE, BUT THEY CHARGED YOU FOR A SOFT DRINK OUT OF THE GUN MACHINE, THIS SEEMS LIKE THE PROPER WAY TO ACCOMMODATE EVERYONE. I GUESS IT'S SMARTER TO LET SOMEONE HAVE LIQUOR FOR FREE, BUT NOT A SOFT DRINK. THE BARTENDERS UNDER-POURED THE DRINKS, NOT EVEN GIVING THEIR CUSTOMERS A SHOT OF LIQUOR, SO BE READY TO BE RIPPED OFF. ONE BARTENDER DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A DOUBLE SHOT WAS. A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE WHO IS AN OWNER/ BAR MANAGER AT A CLUB I USED TO BARTEND AT, ASKED FOR A DOUBLE SHOT OF WHISKEY. THE BARTENDER FILLED UP 2 CUPS W/CE & ATTEMPTED TO MAKE THE DRINK. HE REPEATED TO HER THAT HE WANTED ONE DRINK, & SHE CONFIDENTLY SAID "YOU ASKED FOR A DOUBLE SHOT". HE TOLD HER NEVER MIND B/C THAT WAS A LITTLE TO COMPLICATED FOR HER. LOL, WHAT A JOKE. SWEETY, A DOUBLE SHOT SIMPLY MEANS TO POUR DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF LIQUOR THAT YOU WOULD NORMALLY POUR INTO ONE DRINK. WORD OF ADVICE, GO TO BARTENDING SCHOOL. AS A WOMEN IN SUCH AN INDUSTRY, YOU SHOULD BE BEAUTIFUL & KNOW DRINKS, THAT IS YOUR JOB. I WISH YOU LUCK. THERE IS PLENTY MORE TO ADD, BUT I AM RUNNING OUT OF SPACE.
"celebration saturdays' – i planned my birthday there about a month ago through the events manager baily. he was a little hard to get in touch with, but definitely a very friendly and accomodating person. my guests received comp admission until 1am, and i think a 10$ cover after. overall the venue is cozy.. it was very mixed (mainly asian, latino & and white) & pretty crowd. the venue was packed up until about 330am. i had a great time & wanted to thank you all. the music, staff & bartenders were awesome.
fun with a good looking crowd, and no hassle at the door – I had my birthday there this past weekend and my friends and i had one of the greatest time of our lives. we got our free champage. the tables were a little small for the 3 bottles we bought but they were not as pricey as other clubs. Nice strong drinks by hot friendly bartenders and the music was great...we danced all night long..i will definitley recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate their birthdays because of their awesome birthday package. the only thing is it got a little crowded near the middle of the night. but highly recommend it!
