Ambiance yes – The place has really neat interior design.. So far, that's the big selling point for me. The appetizers and salads are really good. I've eaten the black eyed peas entree and it was very good, not very spicy, but you could probably ask for heavy on the pepper. Some of the cocktails are really amazing. If you bring a big group, call them ahead of time.

Best Indian Meal I've had in Portland – Imaginative menu- diverse flavors, lovely Masala Dosa, lots of options, reasonable prices. Service has been pretty spotty though- restaurant seems regularly understaffed. Hope they remedy that soon.

Flavors take backseat to natural ingredients – Great ambience, super nice staff but the food leaves you wanting more flavor and intensity. The curries were weak and a bit watery and often missing ingredients promised in the menu (e.g. red peppers and mangos). The salmon was tasty with an innovative combo with bananas. Overall more of the moosewood cookbook than Bombay.

Indian cuisine in a funky setting feeds the hip and hungry of Northeast. – In Short
This casual space in the gallery-lined Alberta neighborhood is decorated with terra cotta walls, bamboo fittings and overhead screens with images of a crackling fire for a fun "lost on a desert island" vibe. The young, artsy crowd tucks into a menu devoted to all-natural Indian cuisine with options like samosas, dosas-rice flour crepes filled with spiced potatoes, seitan curry and fish specials. The bar offers a wide range of creative cocktails with fruit infused liquors and purees.
