Fantastic pizza for Uptown – This little gem is a rarity in Dallas (uptown). It'a a quaint place to go with friends and family. The pizza is genuine italian pizza, unlike any other in the Dallas metropolex. I have been attending almost every weekend since they opened and have turned at least 20 of my friends and colleagues onto. I cannot rave enough about both the "Quatro Stagioni" pizza and the "secret recipe" dressing on their Basica salads.......and girls let us not forget the BYOB policy, which makes this gem a diamond. That being said the service has recently shifted with the appearance of staff who sometime charges extra for a side of Balsamic vinegar! However that is my only complaint and I hear it's changing. They also just opened the expansion so the wait is way less. I love this place!!
Saturday Afternoon Favorite – I'm at a loss to explain how good this pizza really is. The flavors are fresh and the crust is crisp and thin. We've tried a different pizza every time we've gone and they've all been fabulous. The calzone is huge and my husband said it reminded him of Rome. It's such a bargain, too, considering you can bring your own wine. We love it!
Arguably best pizza in town; definitely best pizza bargain – One of the best restaurants in town, hands down. The food is unparalelled, even at fancier restaurants. The crust is a perfect thickness and texture; it serves as a great base for the toppings. And are there ever toppings! Make a pizza with literally almost anything on it, or choose from their dozens of set pizzas. The place is always bustling, so service can be slow, but it's more than worth it. The salads are great, too, but the pizza can't be beat. The "mini" pizzas are anything but, and will leave one person quite satisfied.
MY COMPLIMENTS TO PIZAIOLI IN CAMPANIA – I've had my share of pizza all over the world. This place will get you the closest to Napoli .Maybe because the guy who makes it is from there. Even the flour imported from Italy! The world famous"Caputo 00". My favorite is "Caprese" and maybe "Quattro Formaggi". If you think that service was a bit slow ,you will be rewarded for being patient . My friend told me that the sandwich with tuna he had there was out of this world.
Mom would be proud – as an Italian living in Dallas, FINALLY a pizza place that doesn't have CORPORATE written all over it. This is MOM's Sicilian pizza, and it's a sight to behold. Amazing, while you can order pepperoni, DON'T, go for the 10 original pies, the ones with no red sauce. You won't be disapointed. Sit outside and look at life in Uptown. Dallas you done good!
Small pizza shop near West Village dishes authentic thin crust pies made with fresh Italian ingredients. – In Short
Blue and white mosaic tiled tables outside offer alternative seating to the small dining area inside that features specialty pastas and other foods for sale on the walls. Campania has Italian buffalo mozzarella flown in from the motherland. The pizza menu has 20 kinds of pies, all Neopolitan style. The sorrento pie is cheese, potatoes, mushrooms, sausage and olive oil all covered with leaves of fresh basil. Calzones, sandwiches and salads are also available.
