Pretty amazing. They made my move go soo fast everything was completed in like 3-4 hours. Another company estimated it was going to take like 7 hours! 3 guys came, wrapped my stuff, delivered and unwrapped and reassembled. They even gave me free boxes so that was sweet.
Amazing service. Moved me and my current roommate, PLUS added an extra stop for my new roommate to be picked up. They came by to look at our stuff first so we didn't really need to go over anything for them. We were out of town so they packed for us, and then unpacked for us the day after. Basically we didn't have to do anything. Highly recommend!
Unbelieveable how horrible this company is. I very recently had a horrible experience with them with a move from Queens, New York to Boston, MA. They have been successful at having my review on another website removed but consumers must know about how horrible this company is.
Hey guys! Decided to come on here and tell of my HORROR experience with this so called moving business. I moved from Queens, New York to Boston, MA very recently. I was initially quoted a 980.00 price which I thought was fair considering I only had a few items to move - a bedroom set, tv stand and tv were the largest items. I thought this was a great price considering all the well known companies had quoted me outrageous prices!!! Well NOT the case, these folks quoted me this price and come to find out the person who initially wrote up my quote -Mariana- made some mistakes on it. First she DID NOT mention that this company charges by hour 110.00. She and I spoke a few times before I actually went ahead and chose IMPERIAL as my movers and she NEVER mentioned it. Well the day the movers showed up to pack my stuff into their truck, AFTER they packed everything they proceeded to mention that there was a mistake on the "quote" for the amount of TIME this move would take and that I would be responsible for a balance. Then their trip from Queens to Boston took them 7 hours. Just for the record, I just drove from NY to Boston this week in a snow storm and it took me only 6 hrs even after getting stuck in traffic due to 2 accidents in Connecticut. Then my bedroom furniture was damaged once I inspected it. I paid them 1587.25 plus the 50.00 non refundable fee for a grand total of 1637.25 for such poor service. The gentleman that actually moved my stuff told me that he had noticed a "mistake" on my quote the previous day. NO ONE from this company called me to notify me that I would in fact incur a lot more charges DUE TO THEIR MISTAKE. Also, after he moved all my stuff into my apartment he said that my initial quote did not include charging me 110.00 per hour for their 4 hour drive back to NYC!!!! So I filed a complaint and now the company has told me that they could only reimburse me 60 cents per pound for my damaged furniture which would equal 175.00. What a joke this "company" is!!! They are a total FRAUD and deceitful to their customers. I was Duped! They quoted a customer a wonderful price and then charged me hundreds of dollars more. In addition, It would probably have been better to go with a more well known moving company, as opposed to this piece of crap!!!!
Also, I had to add this: in return for their refund, I would have to "agree and acknowledge my satisfaction with Imperial Moving and Storage and the management of their moving services". I would also have to agree to NOT "publish any disparaging statements about Imperial Moving's reputation" I opted to NOT take the refund and let consumers know the reality behind the services these people provide. TRUTH BE TOLD!
Management has chosen to run this company in a very sketchy fashion. I hired them to move a few pieces of furniture and in so doing, they damaged my apartment and at this point, will not pay for the damage. After significant correspondence, management initially agreed to pay for the damage but wanted to extract an additional condition that I will not write anything disparaging about the company. Thus far I have not agreed to this condition and therefore Imperial refuses to pay for the damage as promised.
Management clearly spends inordinate amounts of time wiping negative reviews from the web to boost its image instead of solving customer service disputes and/or paying for damage for which it is liable. It has been a very strange experience.
Imperial Moving would be far better off spending more time ensuring that their moving business moves items without damaging the pieces or the dwelling AND resolving disputes in a trustworthy manner. If they were to focus on that, perhaps they would not need to spend countless hours trying to delete bad reviews of Imperial Moving from the internet.
I strongly recommend that folks find alternative, more reputable companies with whom to work.
Had a terrible experience with this company - hired them for my move and storage for my entire home contents was asked upfront for a 40% tip - three months later had contents delivered to my new home many items were lost in storage - I made a detailed list some items were very expensive was told they would only offer me a minimal amount never even came up with any type of resolution. Company addrress is not a business address but apartment - their NJ License address is another business name - tried the phone number and the same situation.
A very horrific situation and spare yourself my experience and stay away from this company.
My husband and I were lucky enough to get out of our move with this company before things got too complicated. They provided a quote for our move and in reliance of that, we gave them our credit card information to book the move. We thought everything was finalized and we were all set. The next day, I got an email from the moving consultant, informing me that they were overbooked on the day of our move (even though when I called the day before and made a payment with my credit card, everything was ok - nobody mentioned the move date being overbooked or anything), and that I should talk to his manager to see what can be done. I called his manager, and I was told on the phone that I would need to pay a lot more to keep the move on the day it was scheduled for. So, obviously, they were not overbooked or anything. They just wanted to make more money last minute. So, when I told him that this was very disappointing and that we were already provided a quote which we relied on, he started negotiating with me to see how much more I would be OK paying -- which was ridiculous. I just told him to cancel the move and that I was not interested in working with a moving company that functioned like that. I had read all the negative reviews online, other reviewers warning about similar situations with this company. I really wanted to give them a chance, but I guess all the reviewers had a point. I would not trust this company. Their junior consultants have great intentions, they are very attentive and helpful, but the management is not professional.
AWESOME COMPANY all my stuff arrived in once piece and no damage Cant say enough good
I am writing you this letter just to let you know how happy your company made me, with my move to Florida. My husband and I , and our big dog got into the car and left for Florida not knowing where we would live. We left our possessions in two storage bins, back home in Smithtown, Long Island. I started looking for movers a few months before we left. I received tons of emails from so many movers. Some gave me quote that were so high it was frightening, others so low it was just as frightening. I was so confused, and mixed up I didn't know what to do!
Then I received a call from Imperial movers, and someone by the name of Gall spoke to me, and asked me a few questions about my move. He then gave me an estimate on the amount of stuff I had to move. I explained how it was in two storage bins all packed up. He told me I had nothing to worry about and explained how the truck would go there and pick it all up and bring it down to Florida.
To my surprise, when the time came to leave we finally got to florida, had no place to live, went to a motel, with our big dog, call a few brokers to find us a rental. Finally after 4-5 days and really stressing out, being homeless, we found a beautiful little house. I decided to call Imperial and tell them I was ready. They assured me that they would send a truck to my storage bins and my daughter met them there so she could for see the move going as planned. She called me to tell me that they arrived, started repacking stuff that I carelessly had forgotten to pack properly. She told me how nice the guys were and bought them coffee, then lunch, and dinner. It was a huge move, and it took a long time.
After calling Gal and planning the move, I was surprised to get a phone call the next evening, from someone who said he was the driver of my moving truck! I said" How could that be!" how did you get to Florida so quick?!!! he assured me that he was there. And he was! he met us at the house in 10 minutes.
Not only did they get my stuff there sooner than I ever expected, but, they removed everything off the truck with such care and concern. Nothing was scratched, nothing broken, no walls scratched, and neat as a pin with everything they did. My beds were put together without asking, and I can truly say I had the best nights sleep after all that stress of driving down, no place to live, confused about the moving company to choose, hoping all would go well.
PLEASE TRUST ME, WHEN I TELL YOU THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! THEY KEPT THEIR EVERY WORD TO ME, FROM DAY 1 UNTIL THE DAY WE MOVED IN. IF YOU WANT HONEST PEOPLE WHO YOU CAN TRUST, GO WITH IMPERIAL, THEY REALLY DO CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! THEY WERE SENT FROM HEAVEN TO GET ME TO FLORIDA, IN ONE BIG HAPPY MOVE!!! THANKS TO GAL, JUAN, HENRY,(A SWEETHEART) I OWE HIM, AND MICHAEL, AND OF COURSE THE SWEET RECEPTIONIST WHO I BOTHERED SO MANY TIMES. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!
This is the fourth time I have used Imperial Moving. Each time the movers were great at organizing, carefully packing and moving all of my furniture and valuables to each new apartment. The men worked quickly and efficiently, even when there was no elevator in my building. Upon arrival at my new apartment they carefully reassembled anything that they had taken apart...plus putting my furniture where I asked. I have compared rates with other moving companies but Imperial Moving couldn't be beaten. I would definitely use Imperial Moving for my next move!
