Worst Staff – This is the worst F'n cheesecake factory ever!
Horrible wait staff and food. I wonder if you need to be a complete moron to work here. They seem to have a handful of those working at this Burlington location.
Not Bad – This is a pretty good place if you go during the week when its not a mob scene. You get better service then, and you don't feel like your being pushed around. We like sitting at the high top tables at the bar area, if you can get one. We love to get the grilled artichoke and lettuce wraps for apps.
Love it!! – I love The Cheesecake Factory. The food is fabulous with a huge selection! It's tough deciding what to order with all of the choices, but everything I have gotten has been great! I really like coming here with my girlfriends! We shop first at the mall and then eat! What can be better then that!
We always try to put our name in way ahead of time since the wait can be so long and the bar is usually crowded. But-that is why it is great being at the mall because we just shop!!
Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain. – In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.
poor service, makes you feel like cattle – Only went here because we were shopping at the mall. Waitstaff is disrespectful and rude. It's always crowded and loud. Food is below average, and quite expensive - large portions don't make it taste better. There are much better restaurants nearby now, making this place irrelevant. Basically, it's a chain restaurant, and not a good one at that.
good location – On a trip to Boston I dined here and it took a while to be seated but at least when we did, the food service was quick and the portions we huge compared to others in other states. I was able to pass time walking through the mall and it was easy to catch the train at this site especially for out of towners.
Fabulous desserts, good food.... but HUGE crowds not always worth it. – With the HUGE crowds and sometimes deafening noise levels, I have to constantly ask myself... Is it worth it? Unfortunately 8 out of 10 times I have turned back due to hour or more wait times. The 2 times I actually got to eat here, it was very good. The portions tend to be quite large BUT don't let that stop you from ordering one of their fabulous desserts TO GO, like I do. It's definitely worth getting it to go while you are there, and enjoying it later when you are not so full. The menu has so much variety that there is something for everyone in your party, but it might take you awhile to decide since it's about 10 times thicker than your average menu. If you can go during the day Monday through Friday, preferably at an off hour, then you may actually be able to have a conversation without yelling and actually enjoy the lovely ambience and a good meal. GOOD LUCK! If you can't get in when you want at least get one of those amazing desserts to go!
First Time, Maybe next time. – 6/29/2006
This was our first visit to the Cheesecake Factory, and we held off visiting this establishment because we live in the area, and saw the crowds on weekends. Based on local recommendations, we decided to go midweek, arrived at about 5 PM, and asked for a table for 2. There was only a very small crowd line waiting for tables. We were seated promptly, [less than 10 min], in a booth to the left of the bar. The restaurant was fairly crowded, and the noise level was high with the overhead music as the loudest factor. An hour later, the noise level increased, as the ambient chatter from the bar area and other seating areas became a roar making any conversaton difficult. Definitely, not a place for children.
Service was fairly prompt and attentive. Our server knew the menu well, offered appropriate suggestions, and answered our questions about the menu with ease. We were were allowed to take our time with the menu, and we were not rushed throughout our dinner.
We ordered a bottle of house chardonay which was nice, but a a bit on the oaky side.
I ordered the Cashew Chicken and my wife ordered a large shrimp salad. Both orders were not rushed and when delivered to our table, were good in appearance and taste. Portion sizes were good and very filling, so we did not order dessert.
As we left the restaurant, the line waitng for tables had tripled in size, and the noise level was getting louder. I would avoid this restaurant on weekend evenings and dine only mid-week when the crowd size is a bit lower.
I would have given the restaurant a higher rating if the music / noise level was a little lower. I would consider a return visit to the restaurant after Wayside Commons opens this fall, adjacent to the Burlington Mall, with newer restaurants that will give this restaurant some heavy competition and maybe reduce the crowd level on weekends.
Worth the wait – Although you should expect a wait on weekends and evenings, you will find that it's well worth it. This particular location far exceeds all others in the area. With ample parking, lovely decor, and a clean and beautifully maintained dining area, the Cheesecake Factory in Burlington gets an A+ rating!!!!!!!
The menu selection is quite extensive, including Asian, Mexican, Italian and American classics. Portions are very generous and always hot and delicious. With over 30 different cheesecake options as well as the best chocolate cake on the planet, the dessert menu is not to be passed over!!
But what really sets this location apart is the staff. Not only are they friendly and knowledgable, but there is a real sense of camaraderie among the staff. This warmth spills over to the guest, whose dining experience is enhanced by the lively atmosphere.
Great flavors and textures – I found this restaurant to have exceptional food and service.
