Recent Tattoos at Miami Ink-- Fabulous !!!!! – My Wife and I were in Miami recently to get Tattoos at Miami Ink for our third time since 2007. We both were Extemely Satisfied with the work M.I. Artist did! I tried to get Chris Garver to do Our work but He was not available. Dean at the M.I. office encouraged us to use the walk in Artist whose works are up to anyone at there shops talents. Jose worked on My Wife and Janos the next day on Me. These guys did GREAT work-- The Tattoo Janos did on My arm is an ongoing project and what an incredible job HE did! This is Our third time in M.I. each time has been a good experiance with the best artist getting exactly what we wanted no matter how many drawings or position changes. We have had Mogrwn,Mikey Slater,Luke Wessman,Jose and Janos do work on us over the years -- all very accomodating and GOOD.. Guy and Dean were the same getting Us hooked up with the right Artist at the right time no matter what it took ! Yes they are expensive, but they way I see it if I am going to put something perminate on My body , Please give Me the Best-- this is what YOU will get at Miami Ink -- Love Hate Tattoo. Do not hesitate to give them a try if You are serious on recieving the very best art and Tattoo! TG
Best Tattoo Experience – If you want the best and are willing to wait to get it then make an appointment. I received the most beautiful tattoo by Chris Garver and it was beyond my expectations. Look at it this way. Would you pay a lot for a commissioned piece of artwork by a world renowned artist to hang on your wall? If you're an art lover than yes, you would. So shouldn't a very personal piece of art (tattoo) that you will carry around with you for the rest of you life mean more? I thought so, and am completely happy with my decision.
Plus, all the gents were absolutely charming.
THE place to get Inked – I just wanted to thank both Chris Garver and Guy Sahar for a fantastic experience – prior to my actually going to the shop all communication was done by e-mail with Guy – I live in Memphis, TN and after researching the subject decided I wanted to have a portrait tattoo of my children done by Chris Garver - after my initial request was sent (through his website), I received a personal response within 30 minutes and the appointment and all details were finalized within 2 e-mails – to say Guy is efficient, thorough and organized is an understatement –- the portrait tattoo itself is unbelievable - it is even better than I had imagined it could be - I couldn't be any happier with my tattoo - Chris Garver is not only a phenomenal artist but also an extremely down to Earth person that truly and genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in all aspects of his craft – this was my first tattoo and everyone at the shop made both me and my wife (she came with me for support and photo documentation) feel comfortable and welcome - the shop itself is amazing – in short, if you want a great tattoo and experience to match, this is the place to go – courteous, professional, friendly atmosphere with unparalleled tattoos.
Amazing - And a Must Visit if you want a tattoo... – So the shop may have moved a few doors down from the TV show, but it's super cool and the only place to go for a tat. We were looked after by the amazing Ami and Dean. Great guys, a great atmosphere and a perfect tattoo at the end...
Really (really) high recommended
1st Tattoo with Janos was great!! – I just got my first Tattoo here by Janos. He was Extremely good and very helpful. A really nice guy who made me very comfortable while there. I couldn't be happier with his work. It's perfect!!
I would highly recommend Janos
Quality – This talend group exist of different caracters. Each has his speciality. And they are smart except the joker. But is the best flow group for working . Greetings from tony , Belgium- Europe
Never mind; we'll stay local. – My husband and I will be in South Florida in a couple of weeks and he was thinking of going to Miami Ink to get his first tattoo. Now that we've read these reviews, never mind. We will give our patronage to our local artist who does top quality work at reasonable prices and still cares about his customers. I am a huge fan of the show but very disappointed to hear that people are being treated badly and charged a premium for it.
Love Hate/Miami Ink – Best tatto ever, helpful staff and great artist.
BUT expect a high price to come with the work.
Not hard to find at all if you find the old shop the new one is only five doors down.
Glad l made the trip from Perth Australia, do it again in a flash to get a tatt like the one l received.
Best to have a good idea what you want and don't expect to get Chris Garver or any of the other guys without an appointment. l got a tatt from Randy and soon will be on the show so hurry!! he was great and his work speaks for itself.
Not what it is cracked up to be!!!! – I went to Miami in August on vacation and figured I would stop by Miami Ink to see the shop and who knows, maybe meet one of the famous artists! We arrived and the shop you used to see on tv is now a retail shop for expensive t-shirts and jewelry. The person at the counter did not even greet or acknowledge we were even in the shop. This is kind of hard to do since there is enough room for 6-7 people at max with the way the shop is roped off. So the shop moved a few locations down from the old one " To Better ServeThe Customer" said the sign. My wife and I with our 2 yr. old daughter in a stroller walk down to the next shop which is called Love Hate Choppers and Tattoos. The sign on the front door said must be 18. We walked in and immediately the guy at the counter said " Guys you can't have her in here!" So my wife turned right back around and left and so did I.
I could not believe that you can not bring a child in with you at any time! I do remember on the show where people had thier kids in the shop and even when one child drew on thier parent and they made that part of the tattoo. Also, how do you as an artist forget about all the people that drove all that way in hopes to one get a tattoo or even just to see you in person. Are these not the people who got you where you are today? I guess it is the typical I got my TV show , made a ton of money, and now I do not care about what got me where I am! I own a business and I treat every customer with respect and I tell everyone thank you for thier business. I was very dissapointed with the atmosphere and the customer service and most of all that they used the tv and the customers to get where they are and do not take the time to be there to pay the respects where they are do! Do not get me wrong , the artist there create some of the best work I have ever seen and I would get a tattoo from any of them with no hesitation. It just stinks to be so close when you see them on tv but so far away when you go to Miami.
Overpriced, BUT they have the talent and atmosphere to back it up... – I went to Miami to get a tattoo from an artist at a local rival shop. I learned that Janos now works at Love Hate Tattoo (Miami Ink). Janos remembered me after doing a piece on me 10 years ago. It was frustrating that I could not speak directly to the artist until I had negotiated a price for the tattoo. Thankfully, Janos took me to his station and drew up a few options first and even placed them on 2 locations of my body to compare. Once I chose the one I liked the shop manager, Lee, asked if I was a local or from out of town. Apparently this really effects the price. My cost went down by over $500 because I live in Miami. Once the money was paid, it was all business. Janos was extremely professional and exceeded my expectations for the portrait he did. Lee was extremely helpful and kept checking in if I was okay, and Darren Brass, Ami, and Yoji were all there checking out the piece as it was inked and talking to me and the 2 other patrons getting tattooed.
You should NOT go in to Miami Ink if you think you are going to have one of the TV artists work on you without an appointment, have no idea what you want, or have no prior experience in a tattoo shop, and especially if you are not prepard to pay $$$ for it (negotiating the price down WILL effect the artists effort).
You SHOULD go to Miami Ink if you don't mind the first come, first served appointments, want truly unique work by talented artists. I highly recommend getting work by Janos!
