only good thing was the coffee – i went here on aug 15 around 7 and i got the shrimp and crab spring rolls. they were ok but not the best. it was ust boring. the only thing i liked was the coffee bar. the latte was great and when we left, the barista was the most plesent one there. so only go there for the coffee. possibly even the actual bar. and the place was beautiful. that is about all the nice stuff i can say

great ambiance, service was good, prices were good – Went without a reservation Friday night around 7PM. Sat at the bar to wait for a table for about 20 minutes. They have a long bar with a lot of stools overlooking the train station. Overall the ambiance was really nice. The converted train house is cool and comfortable. Ambiance and decor get a 9 or 10.

We started out with a Mache salad and the spring rolls both of which were very nice. Spring rolls come with a tangy Asian BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the crab cake entree, which came with two 4oz cakes in a tomato aiola sauce. Crab cakes also get a 9. I ordered the pork special, which was prok loin rolled up with spinach and Gorgonzola. This entree gets a 1 at best. It was extremely bland the pork had some pepper specks on it but nothing else to flavor it. It was also bone dry. The spinach was good, but there was not enough cheese on it to even create a consistent bite. I think I may have gotten a hold over platter or something. At least is was only $19. I was going to go with the stuffed pork chop for $25. Probably should have. For dessert we split the brownie with ice cream that was nice. All the deserts are priced well at $4.5. The coffee and cappuccino are also very good as they have a coffee shop attached to the restaurant in the train station.

All in all, my only complaint was my entree, but that is enough to give an Average rating as it was 19 bucks and I would have been disappointed if I made it at home and it came out that way.

Wait for the new menu – This used to be one of our favorite places to have a good, casual meal-- not anymore. I know they have not changed chefs, but this place has substitued a wonderful menu for a lack-luster one. My wife and I would come he just for the fois gras-- taken off the menu; the mussels in the white, licorice sauce was perfection-- now they are served in a red sauce that is nothing. The pizzas are made hap-hazardly and without care-- there should not be more than an inch of crust and the ingredients shoud be placed uniformily throughout the pie, not piled on one section. My wife and I have been here twice since the new menu and won't be going back anytime soon. Why mess with perfection? Try new dishes, yes; take the perfect one's off, no! We will not be going back until later this spring when the new menu is revealed-- hopefully a better one than this winter's. We used to love this place.

Great job and great food – Thanks for helping us with the party for our daughter. The food was great and so was the service.

You have a very nice place-good luck.

Excellent – I've come here for business lunches, adult night out and also brought the family, (kids menu is the best I've ever seen in this area - lots of choices and quality kraft mac n' cheese here!), and I've NEVER been disappointed with this place. Lots of atmosphere whether you are in the main dining room (beautiful), or the bar, and the service has always been excellent. Highly recommend! Nice to have a place like this in the area!

Casual New American housed in an historic train station makes for a stylish setting for gourmet meals and brick-oven pizzas. – In Short
Jenkintown's historic train station makes for a dramatic backdrop at this casual and stylish restaurant that fits the bill from a quick bite to a lingering multicourse feast. Interesting entree choices include gringo fish stew--a Brazilian dish of shrimp, scallops, and mussels in a saffron tomato broth and grilled five-spice pork chop, with candied ginger sweet potato mash. Pizzas, sandwiches and burgers are also available for more casual fare.
